You must have missed most of the game via internet. The Defense gave the Offense the ball 4-5 times inside the 50, twice inside the 30 of Ravenwood, once I think inside the 20 via turnovers that they caused. So you obviously misunderstood my post. You're not actually going to tell me when a team runs twice as many plays as another team the yards should'nt be that much higher. Please re-evaluate your thought process. Are you just looking at stats each week or are you actually seeing them play at all? Like I said before, Stats do not tell the story each week. Unless you actually read the whole book, you won't know the whole story.

Ok, Goldendome, you didnt go to the game thursday did you or many games for that matter? I went thursday night, tried to have a true fan perspective, I can honestly say to you, the stats are deceiving! INDY's DEFENSE was very good. They were out on the field way to long. They FORCED all of those turnovers! Ravenwood did not drop them just because it was wet! If I recall corretly Indy did not fumble once. I might be wrong on that. INDY had many chances to put Ravenwood away,4-5 times inside of the 50 or Ravenwood territory, and could not move the ball. The ravenwood RB and Defense was also very good. It was two good football teams in williamson county, and if INDY"S as young ,as we here, with alot of very good upcoming talent , they will be back very soon. Stats don't always tell the story in a football game or Team.

You know what's funny, for everyone that posts on here, with all of our extensive football knowledge, one thing is being missed. LOOK at this team, they young, inexperienced, alot of guys were'nt even on their roster last year. Just like with ALL schools except ones that RECRUIT, teams go thru these rebuilding phases. ESPECIALLY when you lose 17-18 starters from a previous STATE-RUNNER UP Team. A Prime example in rutherford county is SMYRNA! Those people need to Realize you don't replace GRAY ( QB) and WILKES( WR) just like INDEPENDENCE can't replace PETTIGREW and BAUGH and CONSIGLIO. Are you people for real.GOLDENDOME, please stop sending out your resume! I am 55 years old I call most people SON! I did'nt mean to keep you up at night responding to a high school online post. I'm sure you have more important things to actually worry about. MOST everyone that posts on here, you all have good things and bad things to say, that's jsut the nature of armchair QB's. Myself included. The one thing I do understand that most of you have obviously forgotten is you don't aways have the players every year to WIN STATE! These Coaches and Kids are probably doing everything they can do, sometimes other teams are just BETTER and mor EXPERIENCED! GOLDENDOME, with all your extensive knowledge and experience , YOU should know this more than most. Just support this team and realize good things are coming for this program. The young talent , I hear is very good! So stop judging them on 1 rough season.

Just out of curiosity,what is the schemes problem,usually when it comes down to big plays given up,that tends to mean missed tackles, broken assignments...etc. not scheme,I have watched alot of their games and the scheme seems fine, they actually change things up alot trying to keep teams off balance from what I see, I saw them play the same scheme last year and they had a tremendous defense, sometimes you just don't have the players or the experience. You sound like a kid who complains alot and thinks that you could do a better job. Are you an Independence fan?? Take a look at thier roster son, not many returners on either side of the ball, 5 total from what I see...very difficult job for those coaches. We all need to be supportive to this team!! I wonder if the ravenwood parents and supporters questiond their Head Coach and Schemes last year when they went 4-6....If I recall they had a great QB in Becker and very little returners. Sound familiar??? Just step back and look at this team from a whole, not just the coaches.

Again....We have to sit here and listen to your BS "Mr. Smith" That is who you are right??? It's not hard to figure it out.... In your earlier posts ....you bash on the Heckman Kid again...It's obvious whenever you can talk trash about the coaches or the current QB you do...it never fails for you to throw a cheap shot in there when you can.... and It's a shame that you are the way you are, your missing a real good season from your son.. If i'm not mistaken he has been playing WR, maybe not starting but playing alot ....He might even be starting I have'nt seen every game...I hope you go home and read this " sit down and realize what a creep you are being"! Just my opinion on you.

Good Lord...I'm a fan of the Eagles and have only lived in this community for a few years.... and have no son playing on the Team....Just to Clarify!!! It sounds to me like your are his Dad or Grand Dad or some sort of family memeber....It's really not hard to see what TNsparty was getting at.....but keep playing stupid! You have made yourself look like an idiot for 2 years now( just my observation) If you really are one of those three ....Please support the Eagles and Your Family member, and stop embarrasing yourself. OK....Sleeper....I have sat back and listened to your input, opinions, comments mainly about Independence....but you are all over this forum on multple teams threads, and to be honest you don't have a clue!!!! EX: Independence...( A CAKE WALK????) Fraklin..pretty good team last year, Millington...very good undefeated team from memphis, and unless you were there to see their speed..YOU WOULD HAVE NO CLUE!!!! Please stop bashing what Independence has done and is trying to do!! Did you ever play the game??? I doubt it!!! but in case you did...I'm sure the bench felt great under your tail!!! Two things for you to learn before you post next.....1. DON'T WRITE THAT!!! 2. Learn what a good QB is made of....( Alex Heckman is the REAL DEAL) Please don't talk about interceptions either.....all QB's throw them...but it's the ones that continue to play and NOT FOLD!!!, that makes them winners in the end!!!
