Yes, White County is better than Pickett currently, but the other poster is correct that there have been times in the past when PC could have beat you guys. That being said I would not lump "Van Buren County" in with monterey and watertown. We have had some teams that could compete with you guys as well and we've been pretty good ourselves the last couple of years.

All of this is definitely not what I intended when I first posted. My whole intention was simply to support our coaches and their decisions and I most certainly did not mean to harm a child in any way. I love all of our players and would never do anything to puposefully harm one. Everything about this girl that has been posted today is true. She is a team player, she is a wonderful young lady, and she is without a doubt a very exceptional athlete. Her display in the 3rd quarter against MTCS was dominating and I definitely understand that we need her to be as successful as possible down the stretch. I obviously overreacted in my attempt to support the coaches I guess because I've been frustrated by what I felt was unjust criticism. I was actually trying to stay away from negativity toward players, but I guess I did not accomplish that. I know it does not completely fix all it has apparently caused but I have edited my entire post to convey what I truly wanted to say along - support of our coaches and players. This includes you during volleyball season as I want all of our sports to be successful. With all sincerity please accept my deepest apologies. I only want our team to be successful down the stretch. I hope we both can cheer for the same cause without animosity.

vegas - it does look like your coach is doing a good job, but I have to say that I cannot root for a school that treated its previous coach they way Community did so... And on another note - someone might want to try to stop all the rough fouls that in some places might be construed as cheap shots or dirty play. One player blatantly shoved one of our players down at half court (it was intentional) and another tried to elbow one of our players who had bellied him and was guarding him. There is no place for this in the game and if you want your team to earn respect, one was to do it is by playing hard and clean.

The last sentence is ridiculous & the first one I don't even understand. By outside the only person you can be referring to is the assistant and she is doing a wonderful job and was a wonderful addition to the staff. And your reference to the coaching is both immature and irresponsible. If you were really true to VB you wouldn't bash the people in place doing there jobs- you would only come support the team. When things like this are said it begins to provide an opportunity to doubt the abilities of those in charge which in turn allows our players to possibly build walls between them and the trust they should have for those guiding them. Our biggest problem right now is a few attitude problems and a lot of parents. If parents would support the coach, so would the players and then everyone would be on the same page leading to better play. Instead our parents act like the children in most scenarios again adding more tension to the situation by making it almost impossible for the kid to trust the coaches. Hence the situation we are in now. Girls - listen to those in positions of leadership - no one else!!! That is the true formula for success.

I don't know exact numbers but i would say that baker and smith were both in the twenties and i actually don't remember simmons hitting a 3 tonight. The boys made a big run in the 3rd with Farris actually leading the charge. I'm liking the uptempo style.

It is only unbelievable if you have never been to pickett. It almost impossible to get a win there as the officials will give the game to them if that is what it takes to get a win. And the hilarious part is that they will get on here and complain about calls worse than any other team's fans on the boards. It is just something you have to know going in and expect. I have seen your coach in action though - he is a class guy and I feel bad that he and your kids had to endure that. You guys have more talent than Pickett! I dont know who will win, it will be a big game, but you all more than capable of winning it.

Well - I'm not sure what to think about us just yet, but I'm guessing Temple will give us a true indicator of our worth or lack thereof. Last year we travelled to Chattanooga and played about average and got beat consistently by about 5-6 points per quarter. It was never a route, but did end up being about a 20 point loss. I'm guessing this year's game will be a bit closer, but I don't know that we can pull out a win. I think we'll play hard, but I'm just not sold yet. Prove me wrong boys!!
