  1. Hey, take2andhittoright...ur on the wrong board! This belongs on the Band board under Cheerleading
  2. That's what the T$$AA is trying to do with the multilplier - force privates to D2, and some have. Not all privates want too, or can afford to "give need based money" to those that would qualify. Plus publics have open enrollment schools like Hillsboro in Nashville, they are AAA and have had success in football and girls basketball. Talk to a "zoned" closed enrollment public coach about that issue. Also incuded are magnets/public - they co-op with other high schools and get players from other schools that don't offer a particular sport at a particular magnet. Publics "transfer/co-op" and privates "recruit"
  3. That's what the muliplier is for -- the privates -- suposed to make everything equal
  4. Driving thru Green Hills this AM - sign on Hillsboro's (public school) huge school sign by the road -- OPEN HOUSE FOR ALL PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS -- with dates and times........ Hillsboro, last years AAA girls basketball state champion and a few football state championships in prior years.......
  5. Not all privates offer need based scholarships - that is what DII is for. Small privates that are in DI have to play up / multiplier. Then u will say privates recruit - publics call in transferring....... publics have open enrollment schools - anybody can go. And there are public magnets - anyone can go to those schools too and if the magnet does not offer a sport they can go co-op at another public school that has that sport.
  6. Last year Maplewood 2-17 Whites Creek 1-23 Stratford 8-16
  7. After you check Grace - go check Clarkrange (public) basketball team roster for the past several years.....everybody's doin' it - doin' it - doin' it
  8. Who do u think the best rigth fielder in mid tenn

    9AA ??

CPA lost 2 Srs - both were guards
  10. Johnnie Mitchell - Stewarts Creek Middle School. Is a bulldog and throws strikes.
  11. Naw, we have taken our lumps playin up some - but have caught up and just concerned about having to move up further if we have any success - in other words the trend is - if a private has success they have been moved up to aa(2a) aaa (3A) or possible aaaa(4A) or aaaaa(5A) or till the publics can beat them .....
  12. CPA beat Goodpasture - Goodpasture beat Lipscomb. 4 players at Whites Creek missed the bus did not play against Lipscomb......
  13. Aw horesfeathers! AA is 2A -- sematics. Satterfield used same old tired arguments - didn't want to face CPA. CPA was A - 1A till they were forced to move up.
  14. Trousdale County complained and went up to AA, so they would not have to face CPA. Then when CPA was forced to go to AA due to multiplier - Trousdale went back down to A
  15. It is the same "integrity" and "cheating" used to transfer to and from public schools and magnets.
  16. If all privates got out of TSSAA - TSSAA would be out of business
  17. Again, public schools call it transferring - private schools call it recruiting -- or vice versa. The difference is the privates play up against larger schools.
  18. Lane Watson will lead them to the STATE! That might be hard for him to do, seeing as how the last time I spoke to Lane, he said he was strongly considering not playing football in 2009. Head over to Pear Cohn - he's over there kicking butt
  19. Let me make sure that everyone understands what I’m saying. I don’t think that Goodpasture is cheating. I think that they are going by the rules lay down for them. If I were in their situation I would most likely do the same thing. The thing that bothers me that they try to pretend that everything is equal and all things are the same when they are not. Just say yea we get a few players that make us better every year that you can’t get. They have a draw that rural schools don’t have. If GP were in a small town 45 miles away from the next larger town then they wouldn’t have the success that they have, because they would not have the opportunity encourage kids that can impact their program to attend their school. Hey keep on keeping on, but don’t act like we all have the same opportunity and are just not getting it done. Clarkrange public is smaller than Hooterville on Green Acres - went undefeated and won state in Basketball they got girls lined up to transfer there.......
  20. In D1 - u have to have the grades - maybe that was an issue
  21. ...And Hillsboro should only play open enrollment schools, and all Magnets should only play magnets, yadda yadda yadda........ I can’t resist this. You are wasting your breath or fingers in this case. THEY will never see your point and NEVER admit that there is an uneven playing field. I have heard it all from THEM before. THEY win over rural schools because of superior coaching, facilities, work ethic and/or intelligence, yadda yadda yadda. It has nothing to do with THEM being able to bring in a kid or two to take them to the next level. If you took a player like Cunningham off that team last year THEY would have been just as successful. I guess my question is how successful would your team be if you had the same opportunity to add a player like him? Ask the folks at ClarkRange girls basketball - they have transfers come in from everywhere - u got to know how to work the transfer system in publis schools - all legit.........
