  1. My son was on the team. I know what went on.
  2. The same thing happened when Aydelott left. There was no weight lifting, no conditioning, no spring practice, and no spring game. Yet, the team went to the state championship. Not saying the new coach will pull off what Blade did, but it is possible for the team to recoup.
  3. It happened sometime during the 4th quarter. I did not see the play that caused his injury. I noticed that the injured first string QB, who was injured early in the 1st qtr of the Henry County game, was warming up on the sidelines and I wondered why because I knew about his injured hand. Then I saw qb #10 (the backup quarterback that started) sitting on a bench being attended to. They brought a cart with a stretcher and took him off the field. The link below from the Tennessean says he had a concussion. Tennessean Article
  4. Congratulations Burros!!!! It was a very good game. The game and score was what it should be when two good teams play. It was a close score and it went down to the final seconds. Even with 23 seconds on the clock, I was nervous and I was not ready to celebrate because we were playing Maryville and a score could happen. Only when the clock showed 0:00 did I jump for joy.
  5. Usually, I don't respond to a post such as this. But, I do want to ask for prayers for Keith Perry #10 who started as quarterback for the Hillsboro Burros who was taken away on a stretcher. I hope Keith is okay. It was nice talking to all the Maryville fans at Ryan's restaurant. Thanks for your congratulations.
  6. You guys on here are complaining about bathroom facilities like girly men. I am a female. I attended a college football game a week before the Hillsboro game and had to use a port-o-pottie. No, it didn't bother me. I was there to see some FOOTBALL not to inspect and critique the bathroom facilities. Besides, I have used port-o-potties before while camping. Apparently, you all have not done anything rugged. Are you FOOTBALL fans or are you divas?
  7. Go Burros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations on BEATING henry county. On to the state championship game Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. There were several Henry County fans sitting around me. Talk about no class. These fans took the cake. The talk began after Henry County scored the first touchdown. Fortunately, Hillsboro scored to somewhat quiet them down. Still, they thought Henry County would blow us away. I finally got to enjoy the game during the second half because they did not come back to their seats. If you are going to sit on the opponent's side, SHOW SOME CLASS.
  9. LOL /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Go ahead and live in your fantasyland. Your left tackle isn't any good. Our Alex Crutcher IS and could make a difference in a game.
  10. Hmmmm. Who else has Coach Thompson helped with game plans against Hillsboro? I think the reason Maplewood lost to Beech is because Coach Thompson was over at Mt. Juliet giving them pointers about Hillsboro rather than coaching his own panthers. LOL
  11. Sometimes, a person may want to cut down on the number of keystrokes that they type, the way you did when you left out the space by typing "along" instead of "a long". You know without the space it is a different meaning. I have not seen Beech play but from thier record this year and beating Maplewood, I think this will be a very good game. My pick is the Hillsboro Burros.
  12. No playoff lucky charms for Maplewood this year.

  14. Stripping??? LOL!!! That is not what happened.
  15. I am sure Hillsboro will not take Whites Creek lightly. They remember last year.
  16. The defense played a good game.
  17. I would love to see the Burros win but I do not think the defense will be able to stop MBA. Go Burros!!!!
  18. Congratulations Burros!!! There's talent on Stratford's team #1, #2, #20, #44. I also thought the qb was pretty good. When they pull it all together, there could be upsets.
  19. How many times are you going to post this same thing? This is the third time I have read the same thing. I have read this same wording in another thread and also on the Tennessean website. You call it 34 - 21. I call it 27 - 21. Your #1 did not get both feet inbound on his second catch, but, it doesn't matter Franklin still wins. So why do you keep harping on the flag that was thrown. The flag didn't result in an immediate touchdown the way the bad call in the end zone did. The Burros still had to work for the touchdown. No one is taking anything away from Franklin this year. Even when Hillsboro was coming back, I knew that they would not win because the Burro defense could not handle the Franklin offense. I knew Franklin would be able to run the clock out before we could score all the points needed. Just because Franklin won this year does not mean that they were not scared last year. The only way to settle last year's tie would be to let the exact same players play and we know that's not possible. The only thing I can say is that last year the Franklin Rebels were SCARED, otherwise, you wouldn't be carrying on the way you are.
  20. The offensive line is not the biggest I've seen but they are very good. Hillsboro's D could not handle the offense.
