Coach Parker has done a great job with this team. Most thought they would finsh with 3 or 4 wins, so this would have to be considered a successful season.

There is no way Eagleville and Community will finish in the bottom half.

Would have to agree. The three wins Vikings have came against teams who have won a total of one win combined. Should get another win against King's Academy who have not won a game and lost to MJC. Much improved but not the real deal. Just goes to show you can schedule your way into the playoffs.

Would expect Cascade to challenge since they have all there starters back and almost shocked MC in District tournament. Those are the best two teams. Garland will be missed greatly!

Who are the best three teams this year? Who is the best 2AA team here? Eagleville would appear to be the team to beat overall. Based on publications it would seem everyone but Eagleville is rebuilding. Weak district?

With 3 all state performers, Community should be the favorite to win it all in their region. Plus with over 50 players should have the depth that has never been present in the past.

Why does Community not give any information for the magazine?

Big shoes to fill and with football starting up it only makes the job harder for a new coach.

Would agree that MC will miss Garland alot. Probably the best post player in the area in any classification but role players will have to pick it up. How did they play in camp? The biggest challenge will come from Forrest and Cascade. Losing coach at MTCS will hurt them. Huntland should be a factor. Community, FC, and Eagleville will struggle scoring.

Would totally agree. That is not right to bring someone in and then let them go. Good guy and coach. Someone would be smart to pick him up. Feel bad for him and the kids at Richland.

Were an improved team but they did schedule their wins against three of the worst teams in the state. Will be interesting to see if they keep the 50 players they had out for spring practice. WR was definitely All-State material.

Coach Burkey would be a better fit at Riverdale but congratulations to MTCS on getting a great coach.

No way! Bruce Slatten would seem to be the one most likely to take this talented team as Moore Co. is going to lose their talent after this year.

Summer camps are starting to die because of the rules and the cutbacks schools are having to make in their budgets. Seems like more schools are hosting their own playdays with 3 or 4 teams in for a day. It is amazing how many parents are in the gym for games in the middle of the day. Guess the unemployment numbers are higher than 8.2%.

Congratulations to Ben Kelley and Derrick Spears on being selected All-State. But how do you leave off the MVP of the District, Jacob McClennan? Who were the voters?

Any news on how teams are doing this summer? Any new players that are going to help their team?

Who cares about summer camp games? Most of the time teams have players absent for various reasons and most coaches are playing people who will never see the floor during the season.

Would agree it was wrong to use the term classless for just a few. Congratulations to your team for overcoming so great odds to even get there let alone win it. Maybe this will help many in the healing process.

Would agree that it was great for their players but they have some classless fans. 9-A has nothing to be ashamed of. Too much whinning about the umpires from all the fans. It is amazing how people 30 feet to the side of the plate can see so well.

Great season and the experience will only make MC better next year. Who would have ever thought softball team would make the state before the basketball team? Great job Coach Austin!!
