I agree that private should be separate from public and let them divide however they want. But as far as Friendship is concerned that was not a recruited basketball team. They executed well on both ends of the floor with good athletes not very great basketball players. Congratulations on a job well done.

Don't understand why Cloudland was so aggressive the last few seconds. Officials allowed them to get away with a foul on the previous play but gave ball to McEwen. Had no choice but to call the second foul. Great effort by Cloudland to get back in the game and have a chance to win. Scored almost as much in the 4th quarter (30) as the previous 3 quarters (34). Great game!!!!

Don't worry about McEwen taking anything for granted. This team plays with great purpose. They may lose but it won't because of overconfidence. Show people you are for real again. Too many teams overlook them and their super point guard. Much better team than people give them credit. Good luck!

The only thing I would change is to eliminate the consolation loser in the District. Give the District winners a bye in the Region. That would eliminate teams losing on purpose in the consolation game. Make that consolation game mean something. Blind draw is the best way to go once they get to state.

Based on scouting report I would go with McEwen. McEwen is very good on defense and you better be able to hit three point shots. A very sound team on offense and defense. UNDERRATED!!!!

Forrest is the only team to win this District for many years. Can anyone stop them this year? Cascade has been 2nd the last few years. How good are the Champions? Is Moore Co. ready to compete? Does Fayetteville have a team? Not much about this District on Coacht.

Why did this poor shooting team wait so long to press? 0-14 from three. Did a great job of pressuring in the 3rd to get some lay-ups then in the 4th quit doing what got them close. JC got to play the whole first half at their pace. Don't think CC will sit back tomorrow.

Those were the best two teams. Clay Co. press should be the difference tomorrow.

CPA was very impressive today. I think they are by far the better team. Must stop the post.

All of us in 9A send our prayers out to Rachel and her family. That is two kids in our District who have lost a parent this year due to cancer. Other was Luke Primm from Community. Both of these young people did a great job in a tough time.

I would be surprised if Coach LeGate is recruiting. She did an excellent job at Davidson and her teams are fundamentally sound. Anytime a private school wins they are accused of cheating; public schools cheat as much or more than private schools.

Coach Jean did a great job this year and in what many would consider a rebuilding year still finished 2nd in the regular season. Great tradition of coaches with Jean, Reasonover, Helton, and Wiggington.

Best player on Jr. High was a 7th grader. Could move her up the second half of the year.

Just because I said that MC is not as great as the MC natives think that does not mean they didn't have a very good team. Congratulations on a good year. Summertown proved to be the better team by going 2-0 against them. One more good year! I would even put MC as the favorite again next year.

Cowboy needs to get rid of his bias. McEwen is the better team by far. They were down 9-0 to WHH in the District Championship and then went on a 23-0 run. They have the poise to overcome bad starts and finish the game.

Looking forward to seeing McEwen in the State next week.

Not like you can't get video from someone. Don't think any amount of video would have mattered. Summertown is just a better team overall. MC had a great season and accomplished alot for what they had.

I just don't understand how everyone is overlooking Spears. He is their leading scorer and by all the posts on here you would think he didn't exist. He and Farmer are as good a pair as any. That said I think PC will be able to win.
