Tianna Porter from Henry County has signed with Pitt not SIU.

There seems to be a boys coach in Henry County from what I hear who does this. No, it is not worth it.

HenryCounty also lost to JCM at Henry County.

Henry County is better than most people give them credit for. Heard Coach Stephenson's interview after the game and he was very compimentary of the kids from HC. The game with Westview at HC was close until the last few minutes and HC was on a 15 or 16 to nothing run last week at Westview when Brooks was injured. Westview has a good team, very deserving of any recognition they get but blaming a game for being close on an injury doesn't seem fair to the kids from HC who played a great game.

Henry County also played the weekend without a full deck. They have a starter and the first post player off the bench out with ACL tears and another young lady that played alot of minutes this summer at camp has been out sick. I would say they are playing without 3 of their top 9 players. The starter who went down happens to be the team's best 3 point shooter and ball-handler. I think a freshman started at point on Saturday. Greenfield and Dresden both have very good teams but HC is not at full strength. Unfortunately I don't think they will be for the rest of the season.

I wouldn't rely on those football players.....word is only 2 are actually going to play basketball.

Gibson County will win District 13 AA and possibly the gold ball in March.

I don't know about any other district teams but Henry County beat Jackson Southside last night by about 25. Five players were in double figures for HC. They did have a starter go down with an injured knee though. Hopefully it isn't too bad. I think the district is going to be fun this year. There are alot of good teams and good players.

GC, Henry County will compete for the district title in 10AAA. They have been down in recent years, but since Coach L has been there, the athletes seem to be continuing to play instead of quitting. The future looks good......Just looked like they haven't worked much against pressure in practice. AND GIBSON shot lights out last night. The boys game was very close with HC pulling it out in the end. Good luck to ya'll this year. I'm going to try to catch some Gibson/Obion or Gibson/Westview games.

WOW!!! Gibson County is the real deal. This could very well be the best team in all of West Tennessee. If I'm not mistaken, according to Coach Lassiter on the radio, they hit 17 three pointers with a ton of those coming from deep behind the 3 point line. I don't think Henry County has a team in their district who can play with Gibson. At times tonight I though HC looked pretty good especially when they got the ball in the hands of the big kid. The press seemed to bother them but I think the coaches will get that taken care of in practice. I don't post much, but I was very impressed with the Gibson County kids. It could be a very special year down there for the Pioneers. Good luck on a successful season. Come on Lady Patriots. Let's get back to work and be ready for Jackson on Thursday night. I still think we have a good basketball team......we just played a GREAT basketball team tonight. There were several big read faithful at the game tonight, especially for the girls game. Looked kind of thin when the boys game began. Come out Thursday night at watch these kids. Get your vocal chords warmed up for the football game on Friday night. ROLL RED ROLL!!!!!!!

Both young ladies are good basketball players. Both teams are good basketball teams. Just seems Dickson County has more fans on this particular site than anyone else. I had the opportunity to watch both Northeast and Dickson play last week. Both whipped up on my daughter's Lady Patriots. I don't think it matters how many points a player scores, it's how she makes the people around her better. Not only does the young lady from Dickson score but she is as smart a basketball player as I've seen. She makes her team better. If I had to start a team from scratch and had a choice between the young lady from Northeast and the young lady from Dickson, I would choose the young lady from Dickson.

Wanted to wait and see how tonight's game played out before responding. I've only seen HC play Waverly and now Clarksville. Listened to the Rossview game and it sounded like they played really well. After tonight's game, I think the Lady Patriots may have something going. It's still early in the district race but a 4-0 start isn't bad. The big boys are after Christmas break though with Northeast and Dickson. Even one win over those two teams will be tough. I think it can be done though. Good luck to the coaches and players.

52-32 Henry County. Not that close. HC played everyone on the bench early in the game. I understand that Waverly was playing without a couple of players.
