  1. I agree...first year Coach..with a completely new system. The offense came alive in the last part of the season, we just couldn't stop anyone running the 4-3. Congrats to the few Seniors we had this year..you played your hearts out. Gave R'dale a scare in the first half. Sometimes it really isn't whether you win or lose, but how you play the game. Congrats for giving it your all and not quitting against a far superior team.
  2. most annoying..all the PA guys in Rutherford County..the best I can think of would be the guy who does Lincoln County..sorry don't know his name..Scott Shasteen is pretty good even if he is a "Tullahoma Fan".
  3. Coffee County has been without prayer for so long I'm pleasantly surprised when we travel to a school that still prays.
  4. Oct. 1 White County and Coffee County should be a good game. Sparta is just down the road from Cookeville.
  5. Tullahoma may score on every posession...the trouble is FC may have the ball a long time.
  6. Oh well I got the triple OT right..Oakland was my pick..got that right anyhow.
  7. O'land or R'dale wins in triple OT with a 2pt. conversion.
  8. CC will be a good team by play-off time if they keep working hard. Too many mistakes tonight...gave T-Town 21 points. Congrats to Tullahoma, but watch out, if CC School board keeps Nunley around a few years he will build this program. Ah, nevermind they're not that smart.
  9. CC is starting to come together as a team, but T-Town is ahead of the curve. Might be a good game if it was at the end of the season, but at this point Tullahoma has a big edge. A CC win would be a huge upset.
  10. CC players did not rush the field. You can't take one picture and know eactly what was going on at the moment. I did see a CC player going after a WC player, but the entire WC sideline jumped on him. He was the CC player ejected.
  11. I knew something had to be wrong..a school that large has to have some players..sounds like Putnam County has cloned the School Board and Admin. from Coffee County. We would love to have Joslin, but they'd run him off too.
  12. Yes it's sad because they have the talent to be a pretty good team. No real leader on the field. At this point maybe we should consider getting the Freshman QB some playing experience. Murray is a good enough athlete to play any skill position.
  13. I was right there saw the whole thing and nobody assaulted anyone. it was just a temper tantrum..no need to speculate on here. I'm sure the matter will be taken care of by the Head Coach.
  14. If CC learns to block and tackle in the next few days could be close...Is there a quickie course like "Football 101" out there?
  15. Giles County is loaded...a lot of small Colleges would like to have that many Athletes. They made Lincoln County look slow, and I think LC has a pretty good team. Coffee County looked good, but Marshall County is obviously down this year. This was like a first scrimmage for RC as they don't have enough players to scrimmage themselves, so it's hard to say how good Cornersville was. A lot of Giles Srs. weren't even in pads.
  16. I'm waiting 'till after the trip to Marshall County to make any predictions. We haven't seen enough yet.
  17. Two words...Blocking & Tackling. The O showed some signs of life early, with some crisp passing and hard-nosed running, but I think the Coach's were looking at a lot of players, and that made for some inconsistency. Saw some Atheletes out there. I was impressed by #91 (sorry don't know his name), and the hard running of the Freshman back. Biggest over-all thing I noticed were a lot of arm tackles and players not staying home.
  18. Should of went to work...I know it was just a scrimmage, but CC did not look good. Saw a lot of "raw" talent. Neither team looked what I would call impressive. Both coaching staffs have a lot of work to do IMHO.
  19. Don't know anything about Page, and know less about CC than usual. of course I'll always take the Raiders. I hope they're good..I'm taking off work to come to the scrimmage.
  20. Yeah I was standing about 50 ft. from where it happened....the fake punt worked ,he was about 20 yds. down the field, but when he planted his left foot to cut....well you know what happened. chs4life you are right. IF WE WIN THEY WILL COME. I won't predict wins or loses, but I think we're in for some good football this season. CC should be very competitive with everyone on the schedule. I never said IF WE WIN THEY WILL COME. No I did! But if I have to testify in court, I'll swear you thought it out loud.

  22. This team is also capable of winning district and finally getting past the first round of the playoffs... this team has the biggest heart of any coffee county team i've seen in the past, this is coffee countys year Raider59, I’m really not trying to play the pessimist. I hope they win. And I would love to see a win or two in the playoffs. But remember, they have never come close to winning one. Not with Elam. Not with Nunley. Not with Clark. And none of those playoff games were respectably close. Price's last year, his dream team, couldn't do it either. And those were very good teams by Coffee County standards. But, of course, this year could always be different. Actually the "best team" Price had never got to play together because of injurys IMHO....several were almost "good" teams, but lacked a few key position players. The teams that Elam and Nunley played on were average teams with acouple of good atheletes. Elam was hit at the line of scrimmage on almost every play,as was Nunley, but both had the ability to survive the initial contact and break off long runs. Clark would of been awesome his last season and carried the team if not for a Riverdale players helmet taking out his knee in pre-season.
  23. He "for sure" has the arm strength, and remember he's only a Junior this year.
