It seems that having 2 refs on the mat that they could make some calls that were obvious to the spectators. Stop a move for potential danger. They wait until the wrestler is screaming in pain before stopping the action. I could understand one time maybe but multiple times in the same match. Grown men that were afraid to contradict their fellow referee at the expense of a student. It turns my stomach. I am ashamed of these guys. They need to find another part-time job.

Worley (Hixson) won 1st match beat Mo. state champ, lost to NJ state medalist day one Day 2 beat Maryland (fall :58), Beat Maryland 4 -2 overtime, lost to new york 2-0 Tough competition in every weight, every match for everyone. Great experience for all involved. Get ready for next year. Adam Peters (Cleveland) also went 3 and 2 for the tournement.

At this level of competition every match could be your last. Respect everyone after all they made it to the big dance. There are lots of good wrestlers just watching from the sidelines at this point.

Worley pinned East Lit in the Blackhorse 1st round, pinned Simpson( Walker Valley). beat Graves from Rhea county, beat Cookville. Avenged a loss to BJ jones Red Bank with a pin. Lost 2 close matches to Zimmerman (soddy), beat Phipps (Notre Dame) 2 times. 2 other matcheslost both to Alabama wrestlers. I hope everyone looks past him.

You should keep your money in your pocket. This is all about pride and bragging rights.

There is still lots of good wrestling waiting to happen this week northwest of Chattanooga. The kids from our neck of the woods thrive on competition. It will not surprise me to see a rematch of Hixson and Notre Dame Saturday night.

Those matches will be this coming Thursday January 24.

All that I can see is the weeks 1-6 nothing new.

I guess that this reporter thinks that Hixson Wrestlers are going to roll over and give the District title to Notre Dame. Lets see what happens Thursday night. Maybe he can write a retraction.
