  1. 1Slapper please know your divisions before classifying. Coalfield in Single A not 2A. If I believe correctly Coalfield gave the Collierville girls a challenge in the Franklin/Sonic Tourny. The score was only 5-3 and Coalfield was leading until the last inning.
  2. The Lady Jackets play Rockwood at 6 Monday evening. What are the predictions?
  3. I hate to tell you but the director does make the disicions. I have heard many stories from very reliable people that state that a principal did highly recommend them, but the director turned them down because they did not have the right "last name" or are related to the "wrong people". This does happen in Morgan County! Sorry to say it, but it does it is just a fact. So whether or not this affects the coaching job or not, it just seems odd that a director's son gets a head coaching position in a high school the year after the non-principal coaching rule takes place. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  4. Both teams did very good. As a fan on the sidelines, it was a great game. The only problem that I saw there was a lot of "cheap" shots from both teams. I understand let the boys play ball, but that was getting out of hand almost.
  5. I wouldn't take Wartburg so lightly. They played a good game against Oneida and the last time Wartburg played Oliver Springs they held on until the last couple of innings. Wartburg might give Oliver Springs a run for their money.
  6. How's did everyone think about the tournament last night? Wartburg and Oneida both came away with win, while Oakdale and Sunbright are now out of the tournament. How does everyone feel about the rest of the tournament? What are some of the predictions? /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
  7. Kingston did beat Os 11 to 0. I think that the Os/Coalfield game will be a good one. It will be determined by who shows up to the field tonight.
  8. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> I know that Coalfield doesn't have any seniors. They are completely made up from juniors down. As for the rest of the district, I have no clue. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  9. The Greenback @ Coalfield game is off. The Lady Jackets need to get it together. I know that they will! This team will go far as long as they keep their heads together and really want to play ball!
  10. Who do you think will pull out on top in 4A? Who do you think will pull out on top in 4A? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  11. I think that the oz/coalfield game will be a great game! Any predictions? /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  12. The Coalfield Lady Jakets will do pretty good, too! I can tell you people won't be expecting what they bring to the field.
  13. I think that it will be fine. Players are aggresive, but if you have the right coach then your team shouldn't be causing to many injures. I think that there will be about the same amount of injures. Softball is a sport, in almost all sports you are going to find some type of injure. I excited to start playing some games!!

  15. I attended both the Girls' and Boys' games. Both teams (Wartburg and Coalfield) played hard. Coalfield was down with girls sick and on the injured list. Wartburg Girls' have more depth than Coalifield. I think that the game got out of hand. The refs did not call anything (for both teams). I'm suprised that some one didn't really get hurt. The Boys' game was the same way. There was some major fouls that didn't get called, and some "fouls" that weren't really fouls were called. IT WAS CRAZY!! Refs don't need to let the game get out of hand. I heard tons of stories about after the game. No one really knows what happened except for the coaches. I think both teams (Wartburg and Coalfield Boys' and Girls') could all show better sportsmanship.
