Easy, get more/better athletes. You can work as hard and put in as much time as you want, but at the end of the day, when you play teams that do those things and have better players, you're gonna lose. It's not rocket science. As for your question about Cascade and Community, with the exception of a couple of players, I wouldn't say that those teams were bigger, faster, or stronger. I will however say that both of those teams could have been much better with quality coaching, which neither have in my opinion.

Kids don't do it because of coaches like the one in question and the nonsense of year round ball, not because it can't be done.

Allow? That should never be any coach's decision. If it is, then that coach shouldn't be "allowed" to coach. I would have laughed at any coach that tried to dictate what I played or didn't play. That's comical.

For the record, the level of athlete that Trezevant has isn't walking through the doors of Forrest anytime soon. That's called genetics, not commitment.

What sort of a commitment are you talking about? From what I've seen, this coaching staff is as committed as any in the state. The players seem bought in as well. So I guess I'm curious as to what you are referring to?

Forrest will be just fine next year up front. They were pretty much two deep with not much drop off at every spot. As far as physicality, you can't replace a Boone Sweeney, but the JV O-line was very physical from what I saw.

Eh, guys were open all night long and were missed on multiple occasions. The "duress" wasn't so much the poor line play as it was not getting rid of the ball quick enough.

I can't speak for football or basketball, but I know for a fact that y'all refuse to play us in softball and baseball. Are those the type balls you're referring to? Also, based on Coach K's scheduling and scrimmage picks (Page, SH, Giles), I'd say him being scared to play y'all would never be an issue.

Aside from the state championship, how many times has Marshall Co. been beyond the second round? I'll tell ya, not as many times as you think. Marshall Co., at least they're legends in their own minds.

Solid team, but haven't had much competition this year. Their region was unusually weak with Spring Hill not living up to expectation and Giles Co. being as bad as they have been in a while. And the number two seed Page got drilled by East Hamilton.

So Bassy, how many times have you watched Forrest play this year? Your hate and "opinion" toward region 4 is laughable at this point.

Butthurt, defensive? Not I! I'm a rocket parent and fan, and simply find it odd that you would ask some of the questions you were asking. You're always on the coaches, despite the fact that this team (which lacks tremendous athletes), is 9-1, won the region for first time in decades and has made it as far as ANY team at Forrest ever! So, I'm assuming you're a parent who's son isn't getting enough playing time, nothing more, nothing less.

Make sure you hold up your end of the bargain when Marion doesn't mercy rule Forrest and doesn't score 40.
