Hard to pick an MVP in this game. Langston and Cade were both awesome.

Should be a good Championship game. CPA and Ingle should be well prepared. Lipscomb/Maplewood have some real talent and speed. It will be fun to watch!

Think about the great competition if 6A included the best in DII and the Perennial champs of 3A, 4A,5A. Amazing TN high school football. Everyone gets better.

Maybe both should move up?

Best team in state might be in 3A. Although could still be Oakland.

Last week, Maryville never got across the 50.

Oakland’s offense is good enough, but Oakland’s defense is amazing! I believe Whitehaven with 0 first downs at the end of 3rd Q.

I’ve got no knowledge of either Webb or CPA. I’m just a fan of high schoool football. If you have knowledge of wrong doing on either school, you should turn them in.

i’m not part of the school in any way, but if you are implying a school is misrepresenting it’s enrollment, I think that is wrong and the school should be sanctioned. I don’t care if it’s a school I root for or not.

Just one game a year? OK I guess if that is all you want.

I’m good with D2 AA teams who win the state moving up as well. I think it is the right thing to do no matter what your classification.

Alcoa dominates 3A, where’s the competition in that? Don’t the Alcoa players deserve the chance to prove themselves at a higher level? Is this really all just about the coaches?

That is a totally different situation. I wouldn’t expect anyone to be able to play down a classification, but if you dominate a classification, you should be moved up. You should also WANT to move up and not be forced to move up, but that is a different kettle of fish.....

I’d be OK with a program moving up a classification after winning a championship. Alcoa would be 6A by now under those rules. If you can beat the best, why not compete with the best all year? Why waste your time and talent with 3A teams that you can beat 60-0 (and that is by halftime). Seems boring to me as a fan of the game.

I would think Alcoa fans would take this suggestion as a compliment. Also, if you can beat the #1 team in 6A, why waste your time and talent beating up teams 60-0. Take the challenge and prove yourselves every week against the best. I really don’t understand why Alcoa wants to stay in 3A.

If you are an open zone school and win a championship you move up a division. Just like almost every other state.

First, congrats to Alcoa for beating the best team in TN tonight. Second, time for the TSSAA to put their big boy panties on and move Alcoa up to 6A where they belong.

I'm hoping CPA can keep this game close and pull out a Hail Mary with time running out to win. I'm still not sure how it is that the #1 seed in the Middle Region has to travel to the #1 seed in the East in odd years and then travel to the #1 seed in the West in even years. Who came up with this plan?

Anyone have a recap of this game? How did CPA neutralize Webb's speed? Last week it took CPA a couple or three series to get going. How did they do tonight out of the gate?
