  1. Amen, QB, if they can't say something nice about a player, then delete their comments about them, and also lock them off the forum. Players should be protected; on the other hand, coaches, parents, and adults, that's a different situation. May I also say that I agree; some folks who post here are probably adults, but sometimes it's hard to tell.

    NSA Nationals

The Chattanooga Mustangs will be playing in the NSA, this same bunch, with the exception of about 3 players, finished 4th in the NSA at Columbus a couple of years ago. Hope to see them do as well, maybe even better! The following week they will be at the ASA Nationals in Illinois. Good luck to all, and those that will be traveling, have a safe trip into Chattanooga.
  3. Yes, she's playing her third year on the team.
  4. Chattanooga Mustangs takes the Parker Eagles 2-1 in winner's bracket, then beats them again for the championship 6-2. Sarah Warren and Rachel Harris gets the victories. The Mustangs win NSA State as 16u in 2001, now they have the title in 18u. They are doing pretty well this summer.
  5. Sliders played a good game against the Parker Eagles Gold in the losers bracket, lost in extra innings, not sure how many, and also lost to the Mustangs by one run in regulation time.
  6. Chattanooga Mustangs 18u win tournament in Chattanooga meeting the Parker Eagles Gold from the losers bracket for the championship game. Eagles win first game 4-2 forcing second game that Mustangs win 2-0. Mustangs win 2 of 3 from Eagles in series. Great playing from both teams.Mustangs go 4-1 in tourney.

    NO SHOW UMPS!

Did you see the Chattanooga Mustangs play any in 18u A, and if you did, what did you think of them and their pitching? There were two nice articles and a picture of them in Monday's paper that you can go to online.(Chattanooga Times-News Free Press)They had 2 practices and a scimmage game for fun before the tournament, also with 3 new players, as Coach Ted Broyles said, they didn't do too badly under the circumstances, plus the girls are really a nice group of young ladies.
  8. Jerry Mongar's Sliders did play. They were in the loser's bracket Saturday night. The Chattanooga Mustangs 18u played 1 game Friday night and won, won 6 straight games on Saturday, and came back Sunday to play in the finals. The West Cobb Mavericks and the Wild Things were in the loser bracket finals. The Mavericks won and played the Mustangs and beat them twice 2-1 and 1-0. The Mustangs had already beaten them in pool play and in regular play to drop them in the loser's bracket, but couldn't beat them for the championship. Holly Templeton, Rachel Harris and Sarah Warren did a fine job pitching for the Mustangs.
  9. Chattanooga Mustangs moving up to 18u. Won ASA & NSA state, won district in one of them, won Fall Brawl at Warner Park, won World Series Warm-Up at Jack Maddox complex last summer. Has Holly Templeton-GPS, Jessica Carson-East Ridge, Rachel Harris-Soddy Daisy, Sarah Warren-Boyd Buchanan for pitchers, other outstanding players on roster also. Ted Broyles and Jody Templeton-Coaches. They were pretty tough in 16u, we'll see in 18u.
  10. Coaches are CLifford Kirk from Soddy and his assistant, Lamar Lasley
