All of this just seems like a veiled attack on the Ag center.

I think the tournament has gotten better and better at the Ag Center. I haven't heard one kid complain about the venue Except for the fact that there is not a good warm up area. In Iowa and PA, people bring their families to watch the tournament because they have been involved in wrestling all their lives. Average Tennessean could care less about going to see wrestling. Until that changes, we can't compare ourselves to big wrestling states.

I honestly thought the tournament was overall pretty good. I didnt notice any real problems with dust and allergies and my son showered every day before and after too! I thought the finals were much improved over last year and by getting there early, we had a decent view of all four mats. Improvement ideas: There is still room for improvement on the surface. I noticed the grade was off in the center and in a couple of other spots. The wrestlers need more room to warm up. Warming up on carpet is not a great idea. There needs to be a larger area with a wrestling surface for the guys to warm up. The finals were nice, but I still miss the parade. The guys who place 3rd through 6th get almost no recognition once their medal match is over. I miss the champions all getting one picture after the finals are over, and I miss getting to go on the floor and mingle with all the wrestlers once everything is over. JMHO

Just curious....who are the four-time state champs who competed above 138 their entire high school career? Are there any?

Shouldn't we have many pages by now? I actually thought they did a better job this year with the end ceremony. I do wish the other medalists got some additional recognition though.

I disagree with this. Too many times I see 2 and 3 seeds beat heck out of each other and not have much left in the tank for the 1 seed who easily beat the 4. I think if I am a 2 or 3, I'd rather be given the 4. JMO

Blackman will also resume Fight Nights on TUESDAYS at 5:00 beginning the same week. (March 10)

I too miss the high school scorebook. Is there a way for Track to tell us who has the most wins or what a team's dual record is?

This whole thread is based on some idiot trash talking two 17 year old kids. King and Garrison are both great wrestlers and even better young men.

ummmmmmm NO. Did you even read my post? Matches at Blackman last night went as expected. EXCEPT for the fact that EVERYONE was called for stalling......Like literally everyone.... I am bemoaning the fact that matches are not called this way by most referees during the season. (although sometimes at the state tourney).. I like the stalling calls....... IF the kids are used to it. It keeps things moving and keeps the wrestlers honest. But I'd like to see all of our refs be more consistent across the board and call the matches the same. Because its not done that way, it's a distraction to the wrestlers and a source of frustration for them because what they are doing all season long is ok until they run into certain refs who call it properly.
