  1. "In 2010 7AAA becomes 8AAA and 8AAA becomes 7AAA". Man the TSSAA braintrust must have stayed up all night to come up with this act of BRILLIANCE! /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> David, 3 game series in 2010 may sound great for the new 8AAA teams. Most are all located within a 20 mile radius of one an other. But for schools in the new 7AAA, many are located a 90 min. drive away. That might cause a problem. I don't look for 7AAA to follow. Thoughts?
  2. Gotta disagree RDM. Umpires do and should "respond to fans", many times with a threat to "Boot" if the fan doesn't comply. Be careful, your response sounds very much like PabloSanchez( #1 Homer). I don't think I can handle another Pablo! Horns of any kind don't belong at a ball park. I've sat and watched & heard a group of fans ( I won't name the HS) sit in the beds of their pickup trucks and shout racial remarks to our CF. The practice is a "tradition" that must be stopped by the man that "controls" the game, Mr. Umpire. Totally unacceptable behavior.
  3. Best players verses Columbia Central this year: Best Pitcher : Jordan Cooper / Shelbyville Best Player : Jeremy Estill / Coffee Co. Bright Future: Josh Lee / Independance
  4. Oh they could "control that". LOSE SOME DARN GAMES !! LOL, Congratulation to the Admirals on another great season.
  5. These tragedies, happen all to often. When they hit the "Baseball community" we all are jolted. The Maury Co. community is still recovering from the loss of a fine young man about a year ago. May GOD place his loving arms around the Pieratt family. Thoughts and prayers from the Maury Co. baseball family.
  6. The "Blind Draw" is the only way to go. TSSAA needs to work on the price gouging issue, not rankings. There is no way the "people" would except seeding. The luck of the draw removes all doubts. Just my humble opinion. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

  8. Thoughts and Prayers from the Columbia Central Lions
  9. Well played game by both clubs. CA just had to much Kerry Workman tonight. Dominating preformance for the hard throwing righthander. I believe he had 13 K's. Plus drove in all four runs for the Bulldogs (3 run HR,bases loaded BB), Good luck Wednesday Bulldogs.
  10. I'm betting that there's a Sharpe from Lincoln Co. on the 20009 8AAA All District team. Been a Sharpe on every team for as long as I can remember. LOL
  11. Columbia won't have lights on baseball field until a new high school is built. I hope my grandchildren get to play there. Oh yeah, they are not even born yet. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  12. We're a year away from district play, and you're back on the Columbia lights issue. Dang dude. Let me help you rest easy this winter. Columbia WILL NOT have light next year. Politicians in Columbia are even more hardheaded than you! I'm betting Franklin Co. will host in 2010.
  13. David, Coffee Co. does a radio broadcast. I think it has an internet link. Guys do a good job and are quite entertaining. It gets funny when they make up stories about the opposing team for air time "filler".
  14. I totally agree. Regular season should mean something. But remember that doing so does away with developing young kids in the season. Parents will have to deal with "Little Johnny" getting even less PT.
  15. What happened? SIMPLE. The teams split the 4 games they played. Coffee Co. won the 2 that mattered the most. Nothing more or less than that. CC is HOT and Columbia went COLD. The better team won on those dates. Period. Good luck to CC in regionals and state. With CC changing districts next year, I hope the two school continue to play in the future.
  16. A 22-9 record. A lot of teams would love to have Columbia's "Problems"
  17. WAY TO GO AUSTIN !! He will be the last one to talk about his HR. FIRST CLASS KID /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  18. I do agree the field looked good under the circumstances, but the lighting is poor. many bulbs are out and for a short time the field was very dark. Those are your memories not others. But T-town is a nice place to play ball and they are doind a great job.
  19. WP Estill LP Horne CC hit very well and is playing with alot of confidence right now. Estill looked sharp for 7 innings. Horne struggled for Columbia, and bats were asleep for first 4-5 inn. The time off has hurt the top 2 seeds. Looks like the teams that had to play the extra game got the bats going, and carrried it into the late game.
  20. Thanks RDM, After thinking about all the different ways districts send teams to regional, it wasn't the brightest of questions. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> Thanks for clearing it up. Good luck in disrtict. With a little luck maybe I'll come visit (meet) you in a week or so.
  21. Question for all. Do teams that advance to Regional play carry district losses with them? How about advancing to State? Thanks
