  1. Last I knew, Beech was in 9-AAA also. They ARE, in fact! I just believe that Gallatin will be the only 9-AAA team bringing home a state title this year! While I think the Wave will hand it to Beech tonight, the Gold Ball is going to Shelby County this year regardless who wins this game. Having said that, I will be pulling for Gallatin as long as they are in it.
  2. What the pictures don't show is the in-door practice field. Nothing to do with the award, but UC is not lacking for facilities. Any decent team would give up a large visitors section for this facility.
  3. You guys have yet to be tested. But, if ya'll get to Cookeville through TC or FCA, no one can complain about who you had to beat. Good luck again.
  4. If you think the McKenzie posters are not playing nice, wait until Friday night. I fear the Cardinals will feel like Sheriff Pusser in a local honky tonk.
  5. Plane! Lol. Stay On 22 North. Butchie, Harriman loves Swenson. This is at least the second time he has made the 300 + mile trip to see Huntingdon play in the last 3 weeks. Seriously, he must be a former player or relative. He will see a great game Friday I am sure. Good luck this week to Mckenzie. I am pretty confident you guys will win. Next week I will be a little more concerned. Still cannot figure out how TC and FCA got moved into the west bracket. Only in TSSAA land.
  6. Mitchell has a dual position player in Keiwon Malone who playes QB, TB, WR and returner who has committed to Saban and Alabama. They also have various other speedy players but Malone is the star. Melrose has a lot of athletes as well but probably down in the star category from yrs past when they had Kindal Morehead or a Craig Cooper (current tailback for the Miami Hurricanes) but are very talented and will give Mitchell a good game, but I think Mitchell will win. I'm pulling for Mitchell, while it isn't the best area of Memphis to visit, it certainly is a step above the Orange Mound area where Melrose is (I've been to a game at Melrose, not a good place to visit) so hopefully from a fans view Mitchell wins so that whomever wins the Gallatin/Beech match won't have to go to OM. I have been to Orange Mound for several playoff games in the past. I have never had any issues nor am I aware of anyone having any around the stadium. I will say that if you wanted to find a problem you probably would not have to look far. That would be true at many towns and cities in Tennessee. The people of the Orange Mound community are gracious hosts and serve the best turkey legs you will eat anywhere. BTW, the Mitchell/Melrose game probably determines the state champion. Good luck to whichever team gets to play Mitchell or Melrose.
  7. He should not be allowed back on the map. Gallatin QB is good, but is probably a better LB. The kicker was great and the punter may be even better. They were definitely a factor. It was a great game, the HC defense just could not get off the field in the second half and eventually tired. Good luck Gallatin.
  8. I was watching the Memphis news last night...There was a game played at Orange Mound last night, home of Melrose..They got field turf.... They do. Inman at Paris played on it a couple of weeks ago for the TMSAA middle school championship. It was really nice. UC has always had a great field. The photos are nice. Good luck to the Tornados Friday night.
  9. This has been a great thread to follow. Only one idiot that was making obscene predictions. While I suspect HC will win, I do think it will be close and I do not believe that Galatin or HC will lay down under any circumstance. Good luck to both teams and their fans.
  10. Somebody needs to wake this guy up before he attempts to drive to Paris tomorrow night.
  11. Why all of the arguing? Everyone on here knows that UC should win. The only question is by how much. Does it matter? Does 56 - 0 count more than 35 - 7? I figure UC wins by something between those numbers if they play well. But who really knows? That is why they play the games.
  12. I guess it's hard for some people to a read map. That concept of using the big river that separates W. and M. Tenn. as a dividing line must be confusing. roflol what some red neck's has nothing to do with a river there is only east and west no in between,,,,but glad not to be there How many times did JB play a west team in the semis before finally getting to go to the finals?
  13. I guess my point is...... how far did that "tougher" schedule carry Millington into the playoffs last year?
  14. You seem to be bashing HC a little for their weak schedule as well as Memphis football. Then offer to help HC out with their strength of schedule by offering to play. Last time I checked, Millington was in Shelby County. How many wins did Millington have against Shelby County teams last year? Just wondering. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  15. They will fill Allen's spot. Teague can't be replaced. But, the overall talent level will help ease the hurt of losing him. Wish the guys well in the fall.
  16. There is not a single player in the state that could transfer to UC and make them a state contender.
  17. Is he not the same coach that let his team shoot and shoot and shoot and etc...... until his team lost a championship last year?
  18. Depends on which Sisco you are talking about.
  19. They must sit out a year only if they have established an athletic record at another high school.
  20. Looks like you will be getting a new Director of Schools. Maybe now you can consolidate into two schools. Has to be a money saver vs the operation of 4 high schools in a county with a small population. Wonder how many teachers they are above the state funded level.
  21. Melrose did not let loose for a 72 yard TD.
