I think the only team that can beat the Tornadoes in 2A or 3A is themselves...roll on through the playoffs Alcoa!!!

Milan vs. Alcoa would be a great game to see at state this year, but i don't think Milan can match the depth or coaching of the Tornadoes. The young Tornadoes are exceptional and i can't wait to see Alcoa dominate for the next few years /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I would love for the Tornadoes to have a close game (other than Maryville), playoffs or not...I have heard Coach Rankin say on many occasions,"The only way to get better is to play those better teams."

The subbing is a great way to give the young men a little extra experience. Because of this subbing, there have even been some freshmen and sophomores standing out to me, such as Vee Hambrick, a freshman RB already having two varsity touchdowns this season...I want to wish the Tornadoes luck and hope for some closer ones in the playoffs /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Maryville: 49 West: 14 I expect the young Maryville Rebels to get some more time Friday night...maybe a touchdown or two

Alcoa takes it 56 to 3...if anyone is going to get in the end zone on the Tornadoes, it is not going to be in the regular season

The Tornadoes also have a very disciplined defense this year, Maryville being the only team that has actually reached the end zone on them...a field goal by both Spring Hill and White House, and two blowouts. This might be the best defense I have seen come through Alcoa

They also dominated on defense...Maryville's defense never fails to impress

Obviously not enough tackles though...I respect both programs very much, but the Rebels just wanted it more. VERY intense game though! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Sorry, lucky was a bad way to say it...It's not easy to get lucky against the Rebels no matter who you are. I just really hope someone challenges Maryville. Their program has my utmost respect, but I would love to see them have a close game with someone that isn't Alcoa

I don't think it should end. Before the season started I was hearing some rumors of a down Maryville team...With that coaching I don't believe there will ever be a "down" team at Maryville. Sure, some miracle might happen for some lucky team in the playoffs, but I don't think it is very likely to happen in the regular season. Does MTP only have one player on their team??? Apparently it is all up to one player who would ever win that game...Alcoa is way too deep, not a chance
