Sherlockholmes, you hit the nail on the head. I couldn't have said it better. I will say this, like I mentioned in one of my other comments, alot of this negative stuff good be stopped from Administration. We have some that is adding fuel to the fire, that has been hired in the past few yrs. I personally don't think we need them, it money wasted that good be put to better use elsewhere. Yes, the kids are the ones, we have wonderful kids in Obion Co. they are hard working kids, that need to hear the good that they are doing not all the negative crap. I wish all the athletes at OC the best. Also, the Messenger isn't going to say anything good about us now for sure. I'd rather not say why , but I believe some people can read between the lines and know why. Coach Jackson and boys keep your head up, I wish you all the best.....

I am sorry Purple and Gold, you are right "Some parents". I should of made myself clearier. You are right about having a strong coach, but alot of our strong coaches are not supported my the Administration like they should be. They are left out for the wolves. Then they quote untruths in the Messenger about us also. I just wish the REBELS the best!!!!

I totally agree with you on what you are saying Justaocfan. The parents need to stay out of it totally. I'm sure you know the parents that are calling the problems are people no one would ever believe would do anything also. I will have to say alot of trouble is coming from Administration. You know O.C. is spending 75,000 a year on Powell, when that job was done by Supert. and the school principal all these other years. I'd love to know why Powell thought he had to be on the field Friday night. I truly believe , Coach Jackson was the man in charge instead of him. Also you mention the Messenger , we get so much negative feed back from them, and there have been untruths just in the past week with an article that Powell had quotes in, I know they were lies concerning another sport. I just wish we had some moral people in our higher Administration Offices. I belive we need to do some house cleaner and set our focuses on the kids like it was 25 yrs ago instead on hiring the other people for jobs that are uncalled for. I just wish the boys the best and Coach Jackson cause I know he has alot on him.

I believe L.C. will get a win , but it will be a close game. I'm sure U.C. will be the favor in the Messenger. It's not going to take long for the other teams to figure out the playbook for U.C.

Nicely put VOREBS, I believe they can win against Ripley. I see some wins for the Rebels this season. I wish them all the luck and I look forward to seeing them play.

First , I want to wish the OC Coach and the boys good luck tonight and also the rest of the season. There have been a few remarks on here about parents being the reason coaches leave. Well that is true, but we also have two men in Administration at the school board, that isn't helping matters either. I'm not mentioning names, but everyone knows who they are. If you think about it the coaches that we've had to leave, it has happened in the last 3 yrs. So that should say a lot of why they are leaving. We have a new position that was filled last year, that is unnessary, the money they are paying him could be put somewhere else. That job was always done by the Director of schools and the Principal of each school. Coaches aren't the only ones leaving OC. The attendance for the couny is way low, people do not realize how many kids have left and went elsewhere. So let me tell you the only problem we have in the county is not just the parents, its who running the system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They tell us to teach the kids, Character and have Respect, its hard when they treat our coaches like they do. Then the kids have to suffer, when they up and leave in one year.

I agree with you OCUC, and Little Joe, you both hit the nail on the head. All the girls that were ran off, we would of had a Gold ball to go along with the 1986 one when Whitby was there wit the boys. I hate to see Aubrey leave to, she is a great girl and I totally wish her the best. I do feel sorry for the Gibson Co. with what comes with the total package deal. Obion Co. has always had problems with parents trying to run the show, we have so many want to be coaches in Obion Co. they all missed their callings, they should of went to college and got a degree to go along with their so called coaching abilities they think they have. I honestly do wish Aubrey the best and her new team mates that she has now. She will do great at Gibson Co.
