HC freshmen team beat Milan 27-6 tonight. Solid looking group with some good size. Several younger brothers and nephews/sons of current and former Patriot players on that squad.

I believe Henry County is in the mid to upper enrollment wise 5A. I don’t think they will drop to 4A. However, the population boom in middle Tennessee will definitely have some changes in the next classification.

It’s either wild on the HC threads or dead. There is usually no in between for some reason.

Thoughts? Predictions? This will be a tough one for HC.

I expect a close game with HC pulling away in the 4th. I think the veteran leadership of HC shows up this game and all season.

I watched McKenzie tonight and they looked legit. That was without Taylor.

I liked what I saw tonight. Defense has a nasty attitude and I like it. Offense looked sharp too.

Some of the long time HC posters are missing this off-season. Maybe they’re waiting for the season to crank up.

HC looked stout against CBHS which is always a quality opponent. The defense has some dawg in them and I really liked what I saw this early in the year. Offense also showed some flashes. I’m excited for the season even though the early season schedule is tough.

Scrimmage tonight at Patriot Stadium against Christian Brothers. Freshmen start at 6:00, varsity at 7:00.

My thoughts are we will keep going with what was successful after the midpoint of last season. I don’t think we will go back to the things that were not successful in the beginning of the season.

I have no doubt Green Hill will be solid. I still think Powell and HC are the favorites. However, we’ve seen that anything can happen.

Agreed. I’d also only put Powell ahead of us in the rankings because they are the defending champs.

He is a good QB. Tough, athletic kid. HC has plenty of talent in the pipeline.

The 9th grade team looked solid last night against Bruceton Central’s varsity in 7v7 action.

Great news. Those teams have no shortage of athletes. I hope we air it out this fall.

They looked good at the liftathon. I thought the 9th grade team had some really good size too.
