HC has 11 seniors. I would say about 4/5 on each side of the ball that start. They’ll be missed but there is quite a bit of talent in the underclassmen.

I’ve never heard it talked about. That would be tough for a rural 5A school in my opinion. The ones at the top in 6A are generally cities/suburbs with a huge pool to pull/recruit from.

That’s a good run. I remember watching the title games on TV.

How long was Springfield in 4A? I didn’t keep up much since y’all weren’t in our region.

Welp, this thread has quickly gone off the rails. Springfield is the favorite no matter how bad anyone wants to play the “no respect” card. 3 reasons: 1. Region champ 2. regular season win over HC 3. Home field advantage

Make no mistake, Henry Co is the underdog in this one. Springfield is the region champ and beat HC already this season. I will say this is a different HC team but I expect Springfield has changed as well or they wouldn’t still be playing. I’m not completely sure what to expect but I do know a couple of HC’s best players were out the first game. Hopefully they’re enough to make a difference.

Like I said last week. We aren’t good enough to overlook anyone. I don’t think the team or coaches will.

Quite a bit of talent from 7th-11th grade right now. HC should have a good run the next 4-5 years.

#30 is going to be an absolute stud. He’s always been a standout athlete in whatever he’s played. Glad he’s just a freshman. #20 is also another in that class that will be very good. I think they’ll really contribute next year.

I can’t disagree with most of that. Honestly, team chemistry seemed to be lacking early in the year. I know we are worried about this year but I really feel next year will be a very very good one. What do you think?
