Those calls were garbage. With the wrestling that I saw he should have DQ'd somebody in every match if he is gonna call that consistantly. He should have let the boys wrestle to figure the outcome. Yet he decided to take that away from them. Congratulation two both wrestlers for a great year.

Let's get it back to how TSSAA use to do it. Lets see who the best wrestler really is; other than just talk about and rejoin Div I and Div II for the the Traditional State Tournament. Let the state duals stay seperated. But let there be 14 people in the state of Tennessee to be able to say they are the true state champion. Instead of letting all of the nay sayers say DI is better; no DII is better. Let's find out in real life who the best is.

Congratulations to that youngman. He worked hard to win the state championship. He decided to do a little dance to comemorate it. So What. I think a lot of the adults who were booing him acted more childish than him by booing a (highschool kid) after an outstanding accomplishment.

They must still be emotionaly drained from the Bradley Match at the state duals and that is why they were unable to beat Soddy and Cleveland in the traditional state tournament.

I beleive it will be about as good as the last one. There is a lot of wasteful spending and the tax credits to the avg joe will be used to help them keep thier electricity and heat on for one more month or so and maybe keep thier house for a little while longer. we will see what happens. A Lot of people will be eating oatmeal for the next year or so. what is your take on it.

So, what you are saying is since INDY Lost to Clarksville they are not as good as Clarksville(FACT). And Since Clarksville Lost to Soddy they are not as good as Soddy(FACT). I guess you would also beleive the Titans should be Super Bowl Champions since they beat the Steelers durnig the season. The fact remains the Titans are not Super Bowl Champions. That is the beautiful thing about tournaments. You had better bring your A game every match or you will quicky find yourself at the house eating oatmeal with your 5th palce plaque.

I agree. You at least have to place to be able to have a legitimate gripe of being the 2nd best team in the state or even 3rd best, that is yet to be proven, because if if's and but's were candy and nuts we would all have a Merry Christmas. They can try again next year and the same results will happen which is they will probably lose to a team from Bradley or Hamilton county. I guess they can start using Ricky Bobby's quote your either 1st or your last for this year.

I have a question for the INDY coach. Why do you think that your placement in the top bracket was incorrect and what criteria are you basing it from?

Being Picked to place and Placing are two completely different things. Just because he won the Region in Region 8 does not give him state credibility. Just goes to show you how weak that weight class was last year that he was able to get all pins last year.

All I know is the kid deserved it if he was cussing at the coach. I put the blame on the parent of the quarterback for not rasing his kid the right way and teaching him early in life you can not disrespect authority figures and not have any consequences. He is probably one of those parents who does not want his kid to be paddled whenever they act up. Maybe he should call McGavock's administration and see if they can start putting players in Time-Out if they cus a teacher or a coach out.

What about Josh Harris? He was a 1st Team All-State Linebacker that had 300+ tackles throughout his career at RC. He then went on to Tennessee Tech and was a 1st team All-OVC Defensive lineman and Team MVP. Thats on top of being two time 1st team All-State pick in wrestling by winning the Heavy Weight State Championship and State Runner-up the next year.

I know a team that matches up with BA up front and the name is OAKLAND who beat the dog pee out of BA in a scrimage just a few weeks ago and then snaped Riverdale's 84 game region win streak last Fri.

There have been deaths every year since football has been created for one reason or another. It is a tough sport for tough people. There are way too many kids being coddled by their parents all of their lives and made to come inside because it is too hot or thats too rough. By Gosh. I gurantee it was just as hot back in the 40's until and all the way up til this very day. go ask somebody that played back then if they had to practice when it was 98 degrees. This just gives kids another excuse to be lazy. Of course kids need to drink boocoos of water and gatorade to stay hydrated and watched for symptoms of heat illness but that is a part of it. We need to help the kids make it through a tough practice with encouragement and praise instead of teaching them that it is OK quit or give up if something is too hard.

Region 8 is still a long long way from making noise statewide. There were four placers last year out of 78 medals given. 13 weight classes and 6 medals per weight class. There are a handful that could medal at state this year but I think no more than 5. Jackel if healty this year, Freshman Seaman within a couple of years. Saunders 160 will not place not very impressive. The heavyweights Baird and Allen might have a shot. Biggs and Bates within a year or two depending on how much they improve. There are one or two from Beech(Klienart) and Hendersonville that will sneak in there . Region 8 is not a very strong region. I think if Hendersonville who has been cream of the crop in the region the past few years and probably this year would get there tails handed to them if they were in a region like the one Bradley, Cleveland, Cookeville, are in. That region had 7 or 8 state champions out of 13 weight classes and many other placers. It will be an interesting season. We will see what happens.
