  1. I agree, but I'd say there's someone in town that will help defrey the costs.
  2. Greeneville finally has a great website! My link
  3. How did the scrimmage go yesterday?
  4. You're right Barb! Actually the Greeneville site is much more up-to-date with info than the other sites.
  5. smeagle...Meet Barb. She is really nice. Hope you'll take the time to get to know her.
  6. Has the schedule been set for 2011 Greene Devils?
  7. Was just looking at Greenevillefootball.com and was wondering who takes care of this site and where is info, pictures of GHS's road to the Championship game? The site is decent, but seems like the site needs some work.
  8. Im a Devil fan 100% so this might sound bias, but you'd have to be stupid not to be able to notice the attitude of the Trezevant team. I find it offensive to generalize about "every innercity kid" being a thug, but the attitude and displays of lack of self control were very evident. A coach cannot control what a player does on the field, but as soon as that play is over he can yank his tale off the field. That type of lack of self control when not dealt with gives nonverbal affermation to the behaviors. In my opinion, the coach is as guilty as the players. An as far as coach White's philosophy of "playing for repect," I'd worry about the team and let the repect come later. GO DEVILS!
  9. I'll have to agree with you JCAFCNMWTG. A GAME, regardless if it's for the state championship, is just a GAME and personal attacks is out of line. I like the back and forth jabbing as much as the next guy, but personal attacks on our hard working students regardless of what color jersey they're wearing is not where we need to go on this board. Now all that aside, GO DEVILS, FINISH!
  10. Enjoy the "man cave" while Trezevant and Greeneville play for the 4A State Championship game. Not sure that the boys of Maplewood would agree with your philosophy. I'd say they'd like to be in Cookeville too. Oh well, like I said, enjoy the "man cave."
  11. Regardless of the outcome of the game, It's better to have been playing Saturday in the championship game than to be sitting home talking about it. GO DEVILS, FINISH!
  12. Respect? Who has been giving Greeneville any? I believe the Greeneville team and coaches don't really care. We fans do get a bit upset about the lack of respect, but ultimately what matters is what you do on the field every Friday night. And as far as the 2010 edition of the Greene Devils goes, they've just gone out on the field and played their game. They have just one more game to prepare for this season. As everyone else is saying, GO DEVILS, FINISH!
  13. Ok Greeneville fans: Cancel your hotel reservations, bus tickets, and return your game tickets to the high school, rrrrr has determined that Maplewood is the winner. Oh well, that will save me $40.00 in gasoline. Thanks rrrrrr! Barb, why did you do such a thing? Oh the power of a granny, no offence Barb!
  14. Just another example of the fear of "sharing the stage."
  15. Tornadogold: Why don't you get off your self righteous high horse. Sounds to me that you may be a bit worried about having to share the stage. Granted, GHS may not be the next best thing to sliced bread, but there are other teams that are pretty good besides, what's the name of that school? Alcoopa, no Alocoa. Wonder how good you'd be if you didn't get all of Knoxville's finest?
  16. It wouldn't suprise me that GHS does have the home field advantage as far as fan base goes. Any one remember the crowd support at Red Bank last year? I've read that Maplewood's fan base is not as strong as other schools. The Devil fans may have to invade the home side of Panther stadium. GO DEVILS!
  17. Im sure if you took your crow over to Stans BBQ he could even make crow wings taste good. If not, just open wide, hold your nose, close your eyes, and swallow.
  18. Congratulations Devils! Kudos to the Gibbs faithful for sticking it out until the final whistle. Congrats to both teams, just the Greene Devils night! GO DEVILS!
  19. Hope all the Gibbs fans have safety in travel and enjoy the experience of Burley Stadium and Greeneville. We are really a good group folks. We, as stated earlier, haven't experienced this level of success and have to enjoy every minute of it (Hopefully it will last many years to come). GO DEVILS!
  20. Since your Black Knights won't be able to read this just don't tell them what it says and they'll never know. Just make something up like...CAT, CAR...Just about any three letter word will do.
  21. WILLIEWHO: C-A-R-M-I-C-H-A-E-L...It may be hard to read on the back of his jersey as he runs by your defense.
