  1. The independent firm has no idea about the student's athletic skills, but that alum or affluent parent (or group of parents) who 'sponsor' the unfunded portion of the financial aid does.
  2. But does the school have a say in the issue if a wealthy alum or current parent with excess disposable income makes up the difference in the tuition need established by that independent company?

  4. Sounds to me like the HC doesn't have confidence in his offensive leadership on the field and on the sidelines.
  5. I missed the games at Allen, but I did see Father Ryan beat MBA in the substate. I'm not so sure what all the hype is about MBA. They're good, but there will be a lot of solid teams in Division II this year. Ensworth will be athletic and well-coached, but I'm not so sure about their guard play. I think the difference this season will be heart and coaching--- a lot of parity amongst the Division II teams.
  6. MBA was NOT "co-champ" last season. Ensworth was the #1 seed in the East/Middle Region of Div II. MBA was the 4th seed in the Region. Father Ryan won the Region Tournament, and advanced to the State Tournament finals, falling to Ensworth.
  7. I agree with you Matmax. Lussier made a very bad hire in the Offensive Coordinator four years ago. That decision has completely ruined any good reputation he may have brought with him from Oak Ridge. I decided to check out the team last Friday---where was the coaching? Should have a kicked the 52 yard field goal in the 3rd instead of taking the delay of game and punting. Good punt, great field position, but the offense was struggling to move the ball all night. Let’s face it, the best chance for Ryan to score this year is going to be the kicker. Period. Last drive 4th and 20+, 2 time outs remaining, and you get a delay of game---coaching. I saw zero enthusiasm on the sidelines---that starts at the top---lack of leadership IMO.
  8. You're absolutely right coach. Now, back to that QB...
  9. "impressive" huh? now I know who you are.
  10. Agree. Hard to say coaching didn't have a little to do with it too (sorry GOAT). The offense was unable to score a touchdown in 4 of its 10 games, including 3 shutouts. Don't see much change with this year's team.
  11. GOAT: I think you are either one of those "stellar" coaches, or you're one of their mamas.
  12. The tough part was watching what went on last Friday night. Simply stated, there's no "I" in team.
  13. This game was lost due to coaching. Why were they running out of the shotgun with first down and and less than 1 yard for the TD? Three plays did not work, so they had to settle for the field goal. The punter was backed up in the endzone when the kick was blocked. This is due to the offense's inability to get a first down. #8 couldn't get it done in the JP2 game, so #5 came in and won it. Why didn't the coaches employ the same strategy against BGA???
