  1. This post baffles me. Everyone who knows Hatley knows what an upstanding man and coach he is. A quick search of your previous posts shows a lot of activity on East Hickman threads. Are you still nursing a grudge over the fact your guy didn't get hired ten years ago? Ridiculous. Hatley can't help it if his administration wants to put the kids last. He's a good guy, and he's going to keep doing great things at Cheatham.
  2. Great season by the Cubs. Those seniors have put in a lot of hard work to come this far. People don't realize how hard it is to win a state championship and how far away you may be when it seems that you are so close. The state championship in 3A is probably going to be CPA vs. CAK and rightfully so because barring Milanupsetting CPA this Friday. those are the outright best 2 teams from each side (not including Alcoa who is on level with anyone around). You know I get on here and read the boards and get a kick out of what some of these people think from time to time and while some things (which are few and far between) make no sense, some statements are actually well thought out and are people quoting things with a football knowledge base. I got on here this morning and saw where CubsDad87 posted that "Cheatham was outcoached" you know that might be the case but the problem when you run into a team like CPA and you are affiliated with a smaller public school team like Cheatham isn't scheme or gameplan, its the players. While maybe the top five players (1-5) on Cheathams team may be comperable to what CPA has, it's player 6-20 that make a huge difference. Those guys last night did not have one guy on either side of the ball that was someone you could expose or pick on. Good luck to CPA the rest of the way and again congrats on the awesome season that the 2012 Cubs put together.
  3. Anyone know of any weight meets team or individual happening in the Middle TN area?
  4. Wow that is a strong post. Rebels that good this year? Or Cheatham that bad?
  5. Yeah I have to agree with all the posters on this one maybe in a year or two Lewis is in a spot where they can compte with the other teams in this region but right now I think its: 1 Giles (solid football team plays hard playmaker/winner at quaterback) 2 Marshall (Coach Thomas has dont a great job in getting the players to play for him) 3 Page tie (lost alot from last years squad but has Coach Daniel and the fun and gun offense) 3 Spring Hill (look out I think they are started in the right direction) 5 Fairview (solid football team good little player at quarterback over match in this region 6 Lewis (rebuilding year gonna take a few lumps) 7 East Hickman (better than they have been but too much talent in this region)
  6. WiseOldManGiles I know exactly where you are coming from. This place is like the lull you to sleep and wait to strike when you make your mistake. I would have to say to boski that as soon as Maplewood makes a mistake either through discipline or fundamentals that Lipscomb is going to be all over it. Everyone needs to read this quote because the Wise old man from Giles lost two hearbreakers last year to the team that does everything right. you still talking 3a ..giles lol ...thats like practice ..we talking practice ...you boys better wake up. what makes you think Maplewood will not make you pay for your mistakes. this Panther bites back ..remember that. and you might still be in at half time. If Maplewood wins I am going to get on here and give boski a much respected I was wrong you were right. I just know that Lipscomb will be unblocked most of the night and that Maplewood wins only by having the superior athlete that runs past the Lipscomb players.

  8. You are exactly right A front. This front is one in which the stemming and moving people around is very hard to pick up on. They slant and it will seem like there are 15 guys on the field every play. They are extremely well coached and I dont see Maplewood runnning and and down the field on them. Heck I dont even forsee them moving the ball unless they have far superior players.
  9. Creekwood in a romp! No way Waverly stays close in this one.
  10. Maplewood will have a tough time figuring out Lipscombs fronts. I'll take Lipscomb in a barn burner. They will play solid on defense and do enough on offense to win.
  11. I am sure anxious to see the outcome of this one. Looks like this Harpeth team could be on the rebound and ready to compete again.
  12. I like Coach O'Conner and he has done a superb job in turning around the Giles County program, but if they have this game in hand it won't be a 10 or 17 point win. Because if he has a chance he wont take the starters out and is going to drive a stake in your heart the win will be more lopsided like a year ago. Thats his mo and some people are like that he likes to get up and work on his game.
  13. Congrats to the Rebels for getting the W I know that was a bog deal just getting one when you go through a string of losses like they have is tough. I hope they get it turned around and win some more games this season.
  14. Coach Sharp always does a great job and the Panthers will be a solid team. In saying this the region they are in is like the slaughter house. Getting them some of Giles, Marshall, and Page is not going to be fun.
