When you say "you" in the first sentence, do you mean me personally or Lipscomb? Because our AD is the former basketball coach and as for me, well, let's just say thats completely untrue.

I hope no one counts out DL if they don't have Zach. You obviously don't know much about DL's coaching staff. If they have Zach or they don't, Coach Mac will have his team prepared, and kind of ironically, without Zach, they might open up the passing game some. It will be a fun game to watch and I'm looking forward to it.

Last year's senior class that won the State Championship went 2-4 as 8th graders with the exact same players. So our success has nothing to do with the people we "choose". DL has been blessed with a great coaching staff and that's why DL is good. They have a great off season program and do a great job preparing the players each week. Obviously, Giles Co. has a great coaching staff also, because they had a great game plan against DL. Like someone said, we've had 4 d1 college football players since 1998. So anyone that says we choose people to come to our school along as they can play football, they're wrong. If that was the case, why doesn't DL went state in basketball every year. Maybe we should "choose" some better players to come to our school.

Ok, first of all, get a map, because Riverdale is in Rutherford Co. Second, it was Ravenwood that beat BA. Third, DL doesn't have millions of dollars laying around that some of the D2 schools do to give financial aid. Oh and good joke about the noses. Finally, if you read one of my posts I congratulated your Bobcats, I hope they do well and maybe DL and GC will play in the playoffs, so let's just quit this little argument. DL is not in Division 2, and never plans to go, so good luck to both GC and DL this season.

Zach Rogers - David Lipscomb Unbelievably fast athlete who can change any game at anytime. Plays both ways for the Mustangs. Has lead Lipscomb to an 8-0 record. These stats are through 8 games but he has played less than half the game in 5 of those. Stats: Rushing- 33 carries, 588 yds, 17.8 yds per carry, 8 TD Receiving-11 rec, 250 yds, 4 TD

NEVER doubt Coach Mac

If Zach was not playing in the game against Giles Co., Coach Mac would have come up with a different game plan and DL would have still come out on top. Don't act like he's the whole team. He is the best player, but he will even tell you that DL can win without him.

I think you need to know what you're talking about. Could you tell me why, besides competition, that DL should go D2. Could DL compete? I think we all know the answer to that. And also, get up to date, Riverdale is 4-4 this year. I think I would listen to the guy who went to, and is sending his kids to a D2 school. I think he might know a little more about it than you.

for your information, it was fall break at Lipscomb, many people were out of town. Also, if you put all the people that are in the endzone in the stands, then its full. Oh and about your other comment, the reason that was the only hit Zach took all night is because y'all couldn't catch up to him all night.

thank you pool boy, DL has about 400 less students than Giles Co., and DL has the advantages? If you have seen our weightrooms, like poolboy said, there nothing to go tell anyone about. I agree you never used the word "recruit", but we do not give financial aid that D2 schools give. At Lipscomb if the school does give you financial aid, you are not allowed to play sports. To answer your question, a lot of private schools are not D2, for example, CPA, Goodpasture, Nashville Christian, just to name a couple. Actually Lipscomb should be in 2A this year, but we're in 3A because of the multiplier, which added about 400 students to our actual enrollment, and next year we'll be in 4A. Still think we have the advantages?

Who comes out undefeated?

Great game by Giles Co. and this is coming from a DL fan. They are the first team to be able to get anything going against Lipscomb's D. They definitely put a scare in the DL fans. They did a great job of controlling the ball, GC had the ball almost the entire 3rd quarter. If it hadn't have been for Zach Rogers and a couple of big passing plays, we might be talking about a different winner tonight.

Giles Co. also hasn't beaten anyone with a winning record, so Friday will get to see how good this team really is.

DL-42 GC-21 This will be the toughest test so far for the mustangs. Giles has some athletes that can compete with them, but DL is just too good. Look for a couple of those GC touchdowns to come off 2nd and 3rd team defenses. Maybe DL will pass some more. Their passing game looked great against Creekwood.

48-20 final in DL's favor, 12 of Spring Hill's points coming on the second or third team defense, I heard Spring Hill kicked off DL's bagpiper before the game, a Lipscomb tradition, maybe why some of the starters were in longer, I'm sure he wasn't happy. The senior parents made a great tribute to Harrison Daniel by wearing shirts with his number 33 and Daniel on the back
