Many called last week the true state championship as far as quality of teams. Won't take that away from the Haven though, this game is far from over.

The other guy keeps saying "yezzir" and its really annoying.

I think technically it's not, but the officials have no jurisdiction over the band and the game administrator is usually preoccupied. No enforcement, in other words. In college, I think they'll flag you. They take it seriously.

Whitehaven isn't the only school to do this, but I always found it classless for the band to play constantly while the other team is on offense. Just poor taste.

Whitehaven offense just can't get anything going against this defense. Amazing.

Whitehaven may be the most unorganized and seemingly poorly coached team I've seen this weekend, but yeah, it's the Refs fault.

Bring out the excuses!

Keep the ball from the endzone and start at the 15... Punt for a whopping ten yards... Muff a kickoff out of bounds... Have to burn two timeouts for stupid stuff... Great start for the Haven!

Flashback to 2007: Farragut followers (along with many others) claim Maryville couldn't play with the big boys. 2009: Maryville moves to 6A and is state runner up, in 2010 wins 6A state championship. Back-to-the-future 2016: Farragut stays down in 5A while Maryville elects to move up to the big boys... Farragut wins state championship. You can't write scripts like that. Seriously, though. Watched every play of this game, super proud of Farragut and how they battled. Congratulations to them!

I think Jack Quarles could call the plays against Billy B and we'd do just fine.

Notice the fans storming the field and yelling at Maryville players, fans, and coaches. It happened the whole game (I was there, this video doesn't show all...). It's not just "We're from Memphis!" or some other reason that people root against you. It's the reputation your team and fans have.

The only reason fans of other teams (only those on the boards here, mind you, that you read about) wish for you to lose is because of the actions of a few of your fans.

Don't be daft. No one is claiming Maryville wins tonight with 88 at DE, but it certainly affected the game.

How would it have affected the game if Jacoby had torn his ACL last week? Why won't you answer?

Back when Maryville was 4A, it was clock work that we met Knox Central in the semis (I think semis? Maybe quarters, but I digress). I would love for Maryville and Oakland to become a similar rivalry throughout the rest of the 2010s

Realism? Realism is losing 15 games in 18 years. Realism is accepting the butt kicking they just got and then going on another streak of 12 years without missing a title game. MJ fans dream of such, I'm sure.
