CanesoverTHERE.......yep from the state tournament results (final four), it looks that way doesn't it. 3 of the 4 are mid-state teams. The strongest teams in the state are HERE, and SIEGEL is #1.

I??™ll go with Siegel to win the championship as brsoccer predicted early on. A battle it was, but Franklin didn??™t take anything from Siegel, but rather fueled their fire. This should be a great game. On another note: There were 4 teams from the mid-state in the quarterfinal games, and 3 teams from the mid-state in the semi-finals. Hats off to Siegel, Riverdale, Franklin, and Brentwood for a great season. Go Siegel Stars !!

JV and Varsity games cancelled because of the rain.

The article on the game was pretty good I thought. Siegel seemed a little out of sorts, maybe because Hayley (ankle) and Kim (quad) went out with injuries and didn??™t play in the second half. Riverdale won the majority of the 50/50 balls in the game. Each team took turns with momentum, and both teams missed chances to score. The Siegel keeper really had a good game, with some key saves, along with the defense. The Riverdale midfield played a much better game than I gave them credit for in the past. I wouldn't give the officiating crew the best marks in the world, but they kept the game clean. Congratulation S.I.E.G.E.L (spelled for the folks in the west) on a great win. WAY TO GO LADIES!! Thank you BigG. I agree with you 100%. I just felt the need to defend myself and the person I was with. A note to global1??¦??¦I was never in the stands. We stood away from the crowd at the end of the field. Actually, I didn??™t recognize any other ???Siegel Supporters??? parents at the game either. I highly doubt the people you overheard were Siegel parents. Every adult should support every player, no matter what school your child happens to attend. These are STUDENT ATHELET??™S??¦remember? Maybe pass that along to the people you overhear if it ever happens again. Enough said. Let??™s move on.

O.K. global1, whoever you are. YOU DEFINITALY HAVE A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM. HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND? I will try to remain calm as I type this reply. If you wanted to push my button, it worked. If there has ever been a case of mistaken identity, this is it. If this accusation is directed toward myself, or the friend who was with me, you have made a TERRIBLE mistake. Yes we were at the game. We were there because we both have friends (parents and girls) on BOTH teams, and we knew it would be a good game. So, why in the world would I trash talk either team or players? Actually, we said hello to a couple of the dad??™s we knew, but never said a word the whole time we were there to anyone else or especially to any of the players. Also, why in the world would I be there to scout either team? I have seen both teams many times before, and I??™m not a coach, nor do I talk to the coaches. Trash talk players???¦.oh please. You obviously have absolutely no clue who I am. I know for a FACT the neither of us said one word to any of the girls, or parents on either team. This accusation is absurd. Actually, the ironic thing is that this is one of my pet peeves. I??™ve been around soccer for a long long time and I??™ve seen many many select, rec, and high school games. Anyone who knows me, knows that I will not tolerate a parent trash-talking players on my team or the opposing team EVER, for any reason. Yep you blew it. You should introduce yourself to me, PLEASE. You are correct TTU79. In the first half, Franklin had 10 shots on goal to Riverdale's 1. In the second half, Franklin had 7 shots on goal to Riverdale's 4. Riverdale scored off of a couple of corners I believe. They just couldn't mount as many attacks from the mid-field as Franklin. Franklin controlled most of the mid-field game, however Riverdale did start winning more 50-50 balls in the beginning of the second half. Just my take. Good news...No major injuries.

Hey Mr300bowl, I posed the question to keeperfan. Yes, I know keeperfan is a Blackman supporter. I mean, after reading all of his post it doesn??™t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. I was simply asking HIS take on the teams, since he thinks Riverdale can win by a two score margin. I have read a few of his post and he seems familiar with the local teams. I was just asking him why he thinks Riverdale has the advantage. So, yes I have a clue. I also made my pick by viewing both teams, first hand. And you??™re wrong again??¦I do hope Riverdale beats Franklin, I just don??™t think they will. After reading your post and expat??™s post on the Hendersonville game, it sounds like Hendersonville played more physical than Riverdale, and the second half went Hendersonville??™s way (according to you) And no, I??™m not a Siegel player. My post (game summary) on the Riverdale/ Baylor game is accurate. If picking a team to beat Riverdale is bashing to you, it??™s going to be a long road. Baylor did score 4 against Siegel, and nope, Baylor didn??™t miss any more chances. If you saw the game, maybe you could learn something as well. Good luck in Franklin, and hopefully everyone stays injury free.

There??™s a Riverdale fan (keeperfan). I know comparing common opponents is not the best way to size up a team (game), but their common opponents are Shelbyville Central and Hendersonville. Franklin shut out both 8-0 and 5-0. Riverdale had a hard time with Hendersonville 1-1, and beat Shelbyville 5-1. Keeperfan, did you drink the Riverdale cool-aid? How do you compare these teams? I just don't see Riverdale holding Franklin to 1 goal.
