I agree , being from Dekalb County , playing in a region with White House, Station Camp, Greenbriar, Pearl Cohn, and Sycamore , Macon County has played lots of good teams also. Don't assume Macon County is a win, They had the toughest 3a schedule in the state. Sometimes instead of crying about your region you just have to stuck it up and win. For example Dekalb was 2-8 last year to 9-3 this year. It will be a great renewal of an old rival when LA comes to Dekalb for the offensive explosion next year. Good Luck to you guys turning your program around should be a fun season.

Its great to see region 2 being so confident. All we are hearing is how kc runs the football. Playing WH twice this year I don't see anybody scoring 35 against their defense running the ball. WH will represent region 4 well and then we will see which region is the toughest in the state. being from Dekalb County we want to say nothing but good things about the blue devils and their fans. The moment of silence and the prayer were great . There were no bad calls and it seems to me you are agreeing that the coaching is not as good in region 3. I agree because they did not get the ball to no. 7 enough. But blame your coaches first not so called bad calls. Dekalb scored 28 points Mcminn scored 14 no bad calls lots of mistakes by your team. I really hoped that this would not be all that was discussed today. Here is my opinion, this kid was the second best athlete on a very talented team. The kicker was by far the best, but what I dont understand is why they made no attempt to get this kid the ball 20 times. Frustration took over during the fourth quarter when he was not getting the ball. So strictly going on what we saw last night on the field from the Dekalb side it was the coaches who could not get him the ball. 90 yd kickoff return for touchdown and no one was close to him. Should have ran the wildcat offense and played him at Qb

Congrats to another Region 4 team who heard how fast and athletic Region 3 is. But being from Dekalb and playing at Mcminn Central tonight you are exactly right. wow could not have said it any better , there were no bad calls that cost anyone a game. Dekalb was the smaller and less athletic of the two teams but sometimes you can overcome that when your playing at home!!!! O, Im sorry we drove 3 hours to be the louder crowd and see our team play their hearts out. Great job guys. Coaches from Dekalb deserve lots of credit also because we were better conditioned in the 4th Qtr and definately more poised. Poteete is the leader of a high octane offense primarily through the air. Poteete is also an exceptional athlete who averages 8yds per carry , primarily because he is feeling pressure. But make no mistake he may be as dangerous on his feet than he is with his arm. Pick your poison. Where Dekalb needs to improve is running the football with their running backs so we can preserve leads. We were up 14-0 against Station Camp and could not hold it. I hope Dekalb goes to Macon with an agenda other than 28 point victory. Dekalb needs to make an attempt to establish an effective run game. They will need it in the playoffs. Both teams we could possibly meet in the playoffs have experienced secondarys. CMON POTEETE IS A PLAYMAKER AND HE MAKES THE TEAM BETTER. DONT MAKE INJURY EXCUSES IF U ARE TALKING SMACK ABOUT THE OTHER TEAM. DEKALB WINS AT SYCAMORE BECAUSE POTEETE IS A LEADER NOT GOD. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

DeKalb is as good offensively as anyone in the region. The only weakness may be in the secondary where WH expoited the Tiger D. If Sycamore can't pass the football they will be outscored in this one. DeKalb wins by 14. By the way, Poteete should be receiving some player of the year in the region talk. Plus this kid is just a junior with his best receiver coming back next year.

I have watched all 7 games with no real evidence of a run game other than poteete scrambling. Greenbriar was terrible defense by both teams. There is no evidence of a run game in a 63 -20 blowout against cannon co. Cmon they should have worked on it then. Up 14- 0 against Station Camp an no ability to run the football killed their chances.
