This first game is huge for both teams. This is Coach Keith's 4th year as the Dragons head coach and he has all the pieces in place to have a great season. A loss doesn't hurt either teams playoff hopes, but could definitely boost their confidence with a win. This is Tygard's first year at the helm, so there shouldn't be as much pressure on him to win right off the bat. Should be a great game none the less and I can't wait to see both teams square off Friday night!

Well, I'm sure the man knows what he is doing, and there is a method to his madness so to speak.

It seems to me that the coach would want the team to learn the offense and become comfortable with it before trying to pick up the tempo on top of it.

Both teams lost a lot of talent to graduation. I believe AC is further along than Powell is right now. I believe AC has the advantage in playing Powell early on. I'm gonna say AC 28 Powell 24

That's true! Alcoa has never and will never back down from anyone. They're playing a team from New York this year. Clinton's first 2 games against Cleveland and Knox West will tell me a lot about how good Clinton could possibly be this year.

I'm just messing with you guys ...it is a great rivalry....just a little lopsided in my opinion. I feel like it would be even better if the wins were like 46-43-3.

I feel like this game can go either way....but right now I'd give Cleveland a slight edge until I see more consistency out of Clinton. I'm not trying to sound negative, Im just giving my opinion about what I've seen.

I have not been impressed with Clinton's defense thus far in their scrimmages. They are inconsistent in my opinion. They may look good on a couple of plays and then give up a 40 yard run or a 70 yard pass. Hopefully they've just been experimenting with different coverages and personnel and will show up ready for business Friday night or I agree with you and Cleveland will beat my Dragons. Let's Go Dragons!!! It's time for all your hard work and dedication to pay off!! Beat Cleveland!!!

I think DB will have one of the better teams they have had in recent years. DB 31 Farragut 17

Bearden is better than last year and I feel West won't be as good to start the season as they were last year, but I still feel that West will find a way to win this game. West 27 Bearden 21

I'm a little bit familiar with teams from that area. My wife graduated from Chattanooga Central. Good luck today and yes....praying that everyone comes out injury free. Will the games be live streamed?

Well, the jamborees are out of the way and it's finally game week!!

I'm sure this got their attention and hopefully showed what they still need to work on. They have a speedy athletic team in Cleveland coming to town in a week and I hope we are ready.
