Hey Cummins, respect has to be earned. People just don't give it away. Most of these blowout predictions on this thread have came from outside of both of our communities, with the exception of Slim (5 TD's may be a little excessive). Why? Because we were winning gold balls when you guys were just average. We've been there and done that. You've only been there, just once. We have earned that across the state. Now some people may not like us, but most respect our program and it's accomplishments. All that being said, the Commanders have our respect. Do you think anyone in Trousdale County has forgotten about the last two years? The Jackets have had this game circled for a long, long time!

The qb from SC is a decent little player. He can really pick you apart when there is no pressure breathing down his back. Here's you a little background V-Champ. They smoked us in a passing league tournament back in the summer. I assume they thought they would do the same thing in the fall. But as we all know, 7 on 7 ain't 11 on 11. IMHO, that's what got them shutout. The Owls had a little success running the ball, but I don't think running all night would have gotten them the "W". Guess they wanted to stick to the script, however unsuccessful it was. Not real sure, but I think the Owl gunslinger got picked two or three times that night. Twan may be able to correct me if I'm wrong.

This game could be closer than some may think. Gordonsville is still fighting for a playoff spot, and this win would go along way in accomplishing that goal. Nobody outside of Regions 1 or 2 have ever even heard of you guys until this year. That's when you started to run up the scores on these JV teams, starters scoring late in the fourth (no disrespect to the teams on your schedule). We sure do. Some of the most epic battles in our schools history, win or lose, have been with the Pirates. We have two very similar programs and communities. Both are rich in tradition and supported by diehard high school football fans. All the good folks up here in T.C. have nothing but the utmost respect for the Pirate Nation. If all goes as planned, we will meet again sometime in November. In order to be the best (T.C.), you've got to beat the best (S.P.). I just hope we can get a shot at you guys.
