  1. I believe if Central plays TEAM ball they can hang with anybody in the Big 9. They are returning 4 starters from last year and should have a good JR starting on the wing. He will have to play under control to fit in with the rest. The posts can hold thier own and the guards will have to shoot well. This can ALL be done if Coach V will allow it. The depth shouldn't be a problem either, they have a couple of good posts, a shooting guard, and a point guard that can play also. Can't wait until bball season to see what unfolds.
  2. You could be right Classy but the real thing is IF Central is to be successful they need to concentrate on The Hill and ALL the other big 9 teams. To move on you have to win or ruuner-up in District tournament. Being 2nd is alot better than going home. I watched some cougar ball last year and they seem to let down in a few games late in the season. They can't afford to have any letdown games year.
  3. It's Homecoming night at the Cougar den Fri, the Seniors will be pumped to get thier 1st. win of the season. This should be a good game neither team has much to offer and NOTHING to lose. Word is if Nelson wants to keep his job he needs a win.
  4. You are correct 42 but I don't believe it will come this year. This is why they need to focus on getting Winchell some experience. If this doesn't happen, it could be ANOTHER long year next year. I don't think running the coach off is the answer either, look at what has happened since they RAN the last coach off.... NOTHING to speak of.
  5. I am looking forward to a great bball season this yr. DB will probably dominate but I think the rest are pretty equal.
  6. Everyone knows SS will win, but I do not expect it to be that bad, SS 31 SC 12. Good Luck to both teams and hopefully noone will get injured from either team.
  7. I have read all these posts and wanted to add my two cents in. My opinion is that Winchell needs to be behind center starting this week. He needs some experience for the next two years to be successful. Roberts is a good QB but a better RB. McGlothlin is a good RB but probably a better WR and less likely to sustain injury. There are others that need to be on the field getting experience also and not standing on the sidelines. The Cougars are a little banged up but still have some players to play. The so-called D1 TE/DE hasn't shown me anything yet. There is a difference in being recruited to play ball rather than being recruited as a great student. No disrespect intended there. Coach Seegar is a GREAT MS Coach who has the credentials to prove it, but does he Really want to give up a job where he has total control and great assistant coaches with good morals to go to CHS and be around some coaches and staff there who have no morals at all? Think about that...
