also lets be honest the teams they beat will prob be near the top of their divisions come playoff time. So ya lower class but not bad teams in that class.

So i dont know how much you follow soddy but it looks like they have found a running game this year. Yes it was on weaker teams but they faced the same teams last year and didnt run on them like they did this year. 1st game Bell went for 143 on 16 carries and 2 tds. 2nd game went 199 yard and 2 tds (stats per times free press and chattanoogan). So I would say that the biggest thing they need to work on is xps. which they are 2 for 7 on, the others they went for 2. Also last year they didnt put these kinda number up on offense. So ya I think they will surprise some people this year. Just dont count them out yet, except for this game that wont be closer than 21. Defense isnt good enough yet. To win the O has to play a perfect game scoring almost every drive.

Ok so What does LOP mean. I am not that old but have never heard of that before. Is it something passive made up bc I have never seen anyone else use it.

ok so I agree soddy will get blown out by at least 21 but they wont get shut out. They will at least score in garbage time. So I am thinking more like 49-19

Oh also ment to put I think the biggest difference of this years soddy and last years is they finally are set on running the ball.

So I had all but cleveland right. Did they just not come to play the first half? I saw they made it a game in the second. Do you guys think they will turn it around? So Soddy starts 2-0 again with 5 td passes by maynor each game. Is soddy good enough to go 5-5? Maybe not but what do you guys think of the possibility to win 1 or 2 division games? I think next week will show alot. Can maynor light it up on 5AAA teams?

I think between tyner, cleveland, Mcminn, and Walker they have a chance to win 1 or 2 of them. I just see them surprising someone. Will need alot of luck breaks but they win 3 games for real this year and i think they win 1 division game.

I have only one game different. I think walker valley will win but the rest is spot on with Cleveland vs Cookeville being a toss up. But I think Cleveland wins close.

Ok game day again. There hasnt been much talk about the trojans the last few years but I hope to see more excitement for them this year. I know we are favored in this game but red bank is dying for a win in this rivalry. I think we start 2-0 again. This wont be our last win of the year this year.

I am excited to see how we look this week. Even though it has been a while since we have had a great team, we still have constantly beaten our rivals. Red bank is better this year and I am excited to see if we continue the streak. I think we will start 2-0 again and hopeful want tank like we did last year.

Well I am a soddy fan but no longer live in TN, at least for a little while. In saying that still to early. Last year soddy started off beating a good Hixson team and Red bank and then didnt win another game. Lets wait to see if they can play with 5AAA talent. But I do expect them to have closer games this year. The real question is is it too early to call Ooltewah a state title contender. In the past 5AAA has been multiple teams at the top but I think you may be standing alone this year.

Thanks Tynerramfan for the update. I read that maynor had a good game and our offense looked good against Hixson but are we good enough to put those numbers up against 5AAA talent. Also how did the d look the second half. Was it hixson stopping theirselves or did we make good adjustments during the half.

Ok guys. I am no longer in tn, till Nov, but really still want updates on Soddy Daisy, no matter how bad they may look. Is there anyone that can keep me posted this year or know a way I can.

I agree CBRF. I do think the best game out of those will be the EH vs OR game. I think it should could be as td game or closer. Should be a good week of games. I will also add Rhea wins easy also.

So I agree with the spreads of EH and Ooltewah but how do you have Soddy favored. Yes it is at home but I still thought soddy would be a 7 to 10 point dog. But anyways no one wants to talk about the bottom dwellers. I think Bradley comes to play but comes up short again. Owls win by about 21.

I cant believe no one started this topic. Yes the game is going to be a blow out but Brett Standifer is playing his old team and no one has a comment about it. Is there any chance soddy catches bradley sleeping? Can this be a close game? How many yards will Standifer get? Would soddy's record be different if he would have stayed?

is this really a bold prediction? Everyone has blown out soddy in the district. The only thing that may make this thing closer is soddy will be pumped to play their former teammate.

Ya that is what I was trying to say also. I think the coaches have no other choice but run the spread. But like cope said when we go 3 and out we get down quick. I really think the coach will try a offense more suited to his players in the future. Just dont think the future for SD football is the spread.

Ok I will correct myself they run a shotgun offense. Wont really ever see them run an option or an option read. I know why they run this offense, it is because they dont have to line to run right at people. Also if they went under center the qb would get hit a ton more. I dont think that the spread is the offense soddy will run down the road because of the lack of speed but for now it is the coaches only choice. Not complaining just letting people know what the coaches are working with. If they had time though I would say the triple option wouldnt be a bad choice for them to run. Just dont know if the coaches know how to run it.

I would like to say that it is a down year for soddy and that is why no one is posting but it has been that way from the first game on. Just not many soddy fans on coacht anymore. I am a fan and keep up with the team but have only made 1 game this year so far and seen 1 on tv. So I can tell you that they run the spread but dont have the speed to run it that well. They only run the ball like 10 times a game, so you will see them throwing the ball around a ton. The passing game is good but I think it is hard on the qb because most of the time the defense knows they are passing. The defense started the season well holding hixson and red bank to 7 points but have lost confidence since playing more talented teams. If soddy can stay in it the first half these boys have the will and heart to win the second half. They just havent been in it after half time since the red bank game. standouts the qb, maynor, and wr, tre carter, are their 2 top players. I think if they can keep a balance and keep the defense on their heels these 2 can put up points. On other notes, even though we lost it on the field, soddy picked up a win today. I dont think they the kids will take it that way. I do admire tyner coach for telling the truth though. I am going this fri so hope for a good game. I have seen a ton of close reah games and hope this is another good game for the books. Soddy needs some confidence to see if they can win a district game.

well i think that this game could be the only district game either team gets. soddys defense hasnt looked the same since the first 2 games. If Soddy can get their confidence back then they will win this game. If they come out flat again then they may not win a district game this year.

No didnt attend that game. I can only go by common teams on the schedule and yes I know you played Ooltewah better. Also Hixson has a ton of speed both ways also and soddy just came out 2nd half and dominated them. Yes each game is about matchups but like I said soddy has beaten the smaller schools, even if they are faster. I think that if Tyner come out and gets up 2 or 3 tds it is over but if they dont come out quick and is up 1 td or not up at all soddy has shown it can beat smaller teams in the 2nd half. Not saying tyner isnt good just going by what I have seen. Should be a decent game.

wow no love for soddy. Yes the last 2 weeks have been blown out by much more talented teams. This is the same soddy team that beat hixson by 18 and that tyner got beat by 13. Not saying that soddy will win by 20 but i think they have showed that they can beat lower division teams. they win by 10. as for other games DB over the owls but in a close one Polk over walker Cleveland over west. I think they win a close one on the last drive. Signal is too good for bradley but depends on how the bradley offense comes out to how close it is.

the owls showed most of the holes soddy has on offense and defense. Cleveland has way more talent and are bigger. Can soddy's offense stay on the field and and give the defense a break? I think the spread killed the defense last game. They were tired and it felt like Ooltewah had the ball most of the game. I think they have to slow it down or they have to put up points. The guys aren't big enough to run any other offense. Could be another blow out.
