Cleveland 35 Father Ryan 32 Some great matches from both programs in an impressive wrestling environment at Cleveland. Wish we all could have watched a rematch of Cordero vs Tran at 106, which would have decided the match.

What lineup do you have where Father Ryan beats Cleveland at Cleveland tonight? I always respect the fact that Coach Pat Simpson always takes the Irish down to wrestle in that hostile environment each year no matter the lineup.

No one is catching Cleveland with their level of commitment to the K-12 wrestling program and the amount of money and resources pouring in. Hats off to everyone involved getting that program back and rolling. It’s been impressive to watch as a wrestling fan.

Based on the schedule posted online, they wrestle Cleveland on Friday night and Baylor/McCallie on Saturday. No MBA.

Thanks for the clarification @Rasslinking. For those of us who follow and enjoy high school wrestling it would have been fun to see some of the matchups if Cleveland made the Tournament. Also, we know that their program would not dodge anyone in the state of Tennessee like some posters might be insinuating or trolling.

Why did Cleveland decide this week not to make the trip to the Drennan Tournament? They would have had a chance to win it and the potential for some great matches! @WrestlingGod and @FargoStrutthanks for the match up feedback on kids in the Tourney!

I respect the analysis. Always fun to discuss what could happen 30+ days from now with teams. Who wrestles at 120 for McCallie vs State Champ and National Prep All American, Joe Calvin to pin him?

IMO, BobCorker is from Chattanooga and just adding some message board trolling and fuel to the fire on the bulletin board for Baylor and McCallie. (Those programs don’t need it)

Baylor is the favorite in DII. McCallie is young, but has some really good light weights and the back end is tough too!

This is true. Summit is loaded, and will battle Cleveland in the State Championships. I meant it will be fun as a wrestling fan to watch those three teams from the same county wrestle down the stretch.

Just clicked Track and it looks like Ryan forfeited at 106 again today. Back to back days and would have won both matches vs Brentwood and Nolensville. I know Pat Simpson would not use that as an excuse, because every team has to wrestle through adversity through out every season (Also, it was previously mentioned by a poster that both Brentwood and Ryan had guys out yesterday, but not sure about Nolensville) Brentwood, Nolensville and Summit are going to be fun to watch in Williamson County in January and February!

I would never ruin a kids commitment, and did not know where he was going to college until he made his announcement last night.

Congrats to Jake Stacey and his commitment to Little Rock! Another Tennessee kid who has been on the National circuit and heading to a D1 program!

It is the reason I asked the question this week, and was told he was done.

He and his family chose Antioch over a local private school his freshman year. Will he actually now be heading there?
