: Whoever thinks that Clinton could beat A-E in basketball must be out of thier minds. A-E played a game yesterday without 11 people that were in football and five that were out that would have made a big diffrence. Also without starters like Geno Wykle who is 6'4, Jamar Kirkland who is 6'3.and backup point guard Zac Ligon,whom were out with the flu. Remember, all the hight in the world couldn't stop you from getting beat last year and you had all the same players. Plus our players were smaller last year. Austin East getting beat by 20 is a joke.Clinton never lead by anything more than eighteen.The final score was 59 to 71. You do the math. A-E even lead at the half time.

Who all does A-E have this year and will they do anything?

There is a strong possiblility that Austin-East's Charles Mitchell may be a candidate for this opening. He was on the short list the last time the job came open

Recruiter? Who has A-E ever recruited? All A-E players are home grown, and most come from Vine Middle. Some don't even play basket ball at Vine; they wait until they get to A-E. Talent, yes, but you guys keep forgeting who shapes that talent into players, and once they leave A-E they are better people than they are players. Also you may want to check the other schools when you say recruit. Remember also, when you start thinking about coaching, each player at A-E knows their role and what they're good at. They also put team goals before individual goals. That's what makes the A-E program a good program year in and year out, and that's why their coach is one of the best coaches in the state. :confused: [Edited by masterc on 2-27-03 11:30A]
