  1. Stanford study showed 80% of success is confidence. If they can ride that high and get some early wins it will help in the long run.
  2. I know about the U16s from knowing some of the Siegel players. I guess I could go to TNsoccer.org and look at state results but I was wonderin more about Regional and National results. West Michigan Fire Jrs (MI) Under-16 Girls were undefeated through preliminary games as they entered the championship match against MSC Lady Strikers (TN). Knowing the challenge they were facing, the Strikers' Lauren Bennett netted one in the 8th minute for the early 1-0 lead. The Fire's Lindsey Beiri evened the score in the 53rd minute, but Brooke Zeis gave the Strikers the upper-hand in the 59th minute. Morgan Thomason finalized the Strikers 3-1 victory and right to be called Presidents Cup Finals Champions in the 66th minute.
  3. looks like eurosport has updated schedules.
  4. I have not been on here in a while and thought I would pass this along. U16 Murfreesboro Strikers won nationals for D2 a week or so ago. How did the other Tennessee teams do in D3-D1?
  5. sorry I didn't make myself clear. I think Beckham was all about the money. My point is the way it was handled. There are plenty of people in sports of all kinds that are in the same spot, but you don't see it come out this way for a reason. They know how to deal with it. I just think it made him sound spoiled and spoke to the "ME ME ME" celebration.
  6. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id...mls&cc=5901 Landon has one good tournament and he is now the authority on soccer ...
  7. One thing i hated was if you watch after donavan scored he was pointing to himself and screaming ME .... I DO think that donavon thinks he is a gift from God to the US, but he doesnt even play across seas. (not saying that the players on the team who do play over are better) If he didn't display this attitude before no big deal. sometimes he makes me sick. sorry needed to get that off my chest. thanks PS well done USA
  8. Is it because there are so few teams left? I think it might be because if you look at the three "new" teams on teh rankings ... columbia has the hardest W-L-T of opponents record. Thats the only thing i could tell.
  9. I was not there but did Riverdale pack it in when they were up 2-0 or keep playing the way that got them to 2-0? It seems that when they go up in the past they forget to play offence other than fast breaks or cleared balls. I only say it because they usually do it early after taking the lead instead of late to save the lead.
  10. BHSVB ... Blackman High School .... if so I guess you have room to talk. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  11. I hate hearing and hate even more saying it ... two bad calls gave Columbia 2 of their limited chances, and they scored on both of them. We still had to take care of getting the ball cleared on those chances and didn't. /sigh Believe this I didn't hear any of my friends talking much about the Riverdale game we weren??™t looking past Columbia. Had no reason to. Sure we want to beat them BAD but it's not an elimination game. I hope Riverdale goes all the way now!! (stings to say it) Coach Shelton had us only thinking about Columbia with some interesting reports he got from other coaches and when he went to watch the game himself.
  12. Will this be the first time the Siegel Boys have made it out of the District?
  13. gas miliage? im not sure i just know it is. im sure the fields, (hate to say it) but its white county, distance, any or all of these could be the reason.
  14. White County vs. Siegel game was called off and will go down as 1-0 Siegel.
  15. Siegel has only been open 6 years and made it to the state tournament the past 4 years with a brand new coach to high school sports and really not much of a resume before that coaching wise. It took him winning it to get it.

  17. i didnt take it as a dig i know what you are talking about
  18. AAA Coach of the Year was Eric Shelton from Siegel High School I understand what you are saying totally. I dont think it is that easy though. You also have to be a real good coach to teach the "90" talent something new and get them to buy into it. It is quite easy to get 25 talent to improve.
  19. i was just saying 22 because you get to roster 22 for state. i think it is to many as well. i would say 15 at most personally (but to make the big number people happy 22). if you take 11 to play TX or any game for that matter would be mad.
  20. or at the most 22 All-State Players
  21. Iv loved going to C-town the past 4 years, but i love to visit Chat as a city anyway.
  22. i want to say after reading a ton of website that they meet tomorrow
  23. On eurosportscoreboard.com ... did siegel play 7 more regular season games (inculding post) than baylor? or did games not get turned in?
