Any word on the Smith co. job yet?

Who are names you have heard floating around?

Im saying that 8aa is a tough district and Smith County should be able to make a run next season depending on coaching . That being said if you follow that district nearly every team can say that.

Who ever gets that job better have their big boy or big girl pants on. Saw them play in sparta and played a bunch of young kids.

Those officials that Macon has is not in our association. They couldnt get 8 aa officals at home games due to them being in another district last year and not having enough time or they had a contract with that bunch that they had to honor. On a different note who will make the all district team? Sissom Cannon mvp Hackett Smith co. Until they get there guards going, with the exception of hacket, there are going to be some long nights in big owl country. Not to mention there post isnt scoring much.

Smith is in a slump . Reminds me of Livingston earlier in the year. In this district there are no easy nights . Livingston did dominate that whole game. Well coached and Smith co. Didnt have an answer.Heard they shot poorly. Every one of these teams will have up and down moments you just have to be ready each and every night.. The tournament will be fun to watch.

Thats what I would do. They would have to prove they can hit that shot.

She is a very good player and what I hear Smith co. had no answer. Was told she scored most of her points 4 foot and in.

Depends on the situation :pressure or no pressure.

Saw them play Hartsville and they have trouble with post scoring. Not saying Anderson isnt a good ball player but she needs some help and help is on its way..

The only reason I say that is that I think Dana is a good coach and has some tallent. I think they will be on the outside looking in when the dust settles.

She played against Macon co. Having her back gives them a much needed boost. It's a five way race with Cannon, Livingston , Smith, Central , and believe me or not , Upperman . This week will be fun, stressful, and interesting. Thats why the coaches in our district make the big bucks { ha ha }! .Hope everyone has a safe and blessed week.

Smith by 20. Could have been more. Heard Hackett fouled out in the 3rd and some of the starters were banged up.

Central Magnet by 10 or more. Post play with be the deciding factor. Cannon by a nose. When you have Hackett you can stay with anyone within the District. Macon will win if they can get there post motivated. L A should have no problem with york 30 + Just some fun predictions. Pray everyone has a safe trip to the games!!!!!

Dekalb vs Smith is cancelled

Im glad im not a betting man. Congrats to the Lady Tigers of Dekalb co. Big win for them and Smith co. This is going to be a fun year!

La by 6 Post play will make a big difference especially the way the game has been being officiated. Cannon by 15 + to much experience but will be a good match up next time around. Upperman by 15 + I want to see if Dekalb can play with quality opponents. Central by 15 + could get lots worse with a very young york bunch. Cant wait till 6:00 tonight. If anyone can , please keep us posted. Good luck to all teams !!!

Hackett Smith Liv, Cannon, Smith, Central Liv Central

I have seen all the 8 aa teams play this year, and please dont take offense Dekalb people but they have a lot of tallent with no direction. No offense to the coach or any involved in the program but they will not upset no one. As far as the district goes my prediction is Livingston , Smith, Cannon, and Central as the top dogs this year. Depends on who has the hot hand the rest of the year. I also believe who ever nabs #1 and # 2 in our district will get to state. Just my opinion.

I believe this could be a very close game . There are things that can happen that could give Dekalb a win. Smith co. is playing with a very thin bench so if any of the players get in foul trouble you are looking at a handicapped team. Coming off a big win, if not the biggest in the school history, might have the team not as focused. Smithville will be ready and hungry for a 8 aa win. This is 8aa and the parity is the best I have ever seen. That being said, I still think if it comes down to teams Smith wins by 10 or more.

Sissom is a great 8aa player but like it was stated before she didnt guard Hackett and Hackett did guard Sissom most of the game.Great game with both teams giving there all for their respected teams. Congrats to the Lady Owls what a big game, if not the biggest win in SCHS that I can remember in a long time.

The bench will be big tonight. I say livingston by 8-12
