May i ask why he is going to Vandy? I know he may get playing time his freshman year there, but still if he is Mr. Great he could get playing time anywhere in the country as a freshman. Leslie McDonald is going to North Carolina and i hear Jenkins is better?

Not a good coach, but congrats to him he seems like a good man, but not a good coach just a lotta talent year in year out at ole bearden high school I wanna see what he would do with a team like Clinton or South Doyle someone thats not loaded with talent... you cant say someone is a good coach who loses in a high school state tournament with a college basketball team. (that bearden team 4 5 D1 players right?). If Bearden ever has a team that is just an average team talent wise and mr blevins can still win a substantail amount of ball games then i will say he is a good coach, but until that day i will not. You cant base good coaching on someones record because Beardens basketball program is always on top it is never down.

o that site sounds pretty cool thats good u telliin ppl definately need to tell ppl about it cuz looks like some coaches around here dont do much helping out with the recruiting process. Yeah i agree they can help themselves thats what i had to do to get there, but from personal experience i know i couldve ended up somewhere better if my coach wouldve helped, but im not complaining though cause im transferiring out and everything is gonna end up good... but I mean thats your job as a coach though to get your players to the next level and not only the next level but the best they can play at at the next level and i think the only way you can do that is if your coach gets involved and makes some phone calls... sends some film... send some emails whatever needs to be done. I swear coach ogan from powell and coach mitchell are just alike besides mitchell may be a better coach when it comes to the coaching part lol. It just seems like the same things happen such as Jason Seymore in 2007-2008 when he was arguably the best player in the KIL... Jason should have played mid-major D1, but because the coach wouldnt help him when schools called about him like when West Virginia called Ogan he told him they were wasting there time to make a drive down to watch him... thats not right so he ended up at King College. and Mitchell does the same crap from what i hear with the Jones boys being the most recent not saying they shouldve went somewhere like Seymore couldve gone cause theyre not as good of players as he was, but im just saying the are solid ball players and deserve to be at the best place they can be. I mean i dont know Mitchell personally he may be a cool dude, i just think he needs to start helpin out a lil bit not trying to make ya mad or anything turtle.

Im glad he is getting out of AE now... I heard there coach is horrible and he snubbed chance and chase jones in the recruiting process and he wont help with getting his players to the best place they can play... Please get that coach out of there i hate these old school coaches like Ogan and Mitchell that believe "if your good enough the colleges will find you" that is the biggest bull i have ever heard in my life thats not the way it works if your name isnt out there they cant find u! and dont try to tell me im wrong i heard from a family member of chase and chance not gonna mention who but... its the truth.

Mitchell has been there too long hes had his time he needs to get out and get something fresh and new in there just like ogan does at powell theyve both been coaching since the 50s lol. and blevins will never ever in a million years when a state championship because he will never have a team as good as the one he had this year! NEVER

If you wanna do the luck thing then BTW is lucky fulton didnt blow them the gym when they had that big lead! lol just say congrats to Fulton for another state title. Jody Wright the best of the best in coaching with out a doubt I wish Grace (knoxville grace) and Bearden would have won the state then all three gold balls couldve been in knoxville this year lol

I AM NOT A BEARDEN FAN, so i dont know why you people are acting like this is gonna bother me lol... thatta baby eagles good job! I made my assessment on talent and athletic ability, i have seen both teams play unfortunately bearden played a bad game.

Im not sure about 5 lol, but Powell met Halls which is the biggest rival and in the same district 4 times in one season.

Yeah they prob got subbed out cause they werent going with the game plan the coach wanted haha. That coach will never ever in a million years come close to sniffing a gold ball if he couldnt win with this team. He will go down as the most underachieved worst coach in basketball before its all said and done. He pretty much lost with a college team in a high school tourney haha

It is time for the Bearden fans to eat some crow!! Bearden over looking the sleeper lol. or should i say theyre coach is a complete idiot. Still after watching all the teams in the state Bearden is still the most best or most athletic team they just didnt show up on one night and it cost them.

no i promise they werent overrated, they are still the most talented team in the state, but theyre coach is just probably one of the worst coaches in high school basketball besides coach ogan from powell... If you cant win a state championship with 4 mid major D1 prospects all over 6'5 on your team then wow thats saying something. Plus i talked to one of the players and he said coach blevins changed the game plan and told them he wanted demonote (the big post) touching the ball every possession and that he didnt want any shots put up outside the paint... If a coach does that, then what do you expect... Good luck to Clarksville im glad Bearden got put out im not a bearden fan.

because in college all the athletes are good and all teams can compete... college coaches get to pick theyre players... high school doesnt high school you get what kids are zoned for the school. and some teams only chance of winning is to work the clock because the other high school team may be so much better. so no shot clock it would just have the dominate teams winning every game theyre would rarely be an upset or excitement.

Yep i forgot about Grangier with skylar mcbee they varely well may be better or just as good as BTW as well so thats another team... The East is strong now we are no longer weak like back in the day lol

I never said Carter was good... im not a Carter fan lol

1) best team in the district- Fulton or AE (who carter got lucky and beat the number 1 team in the state that being ae) 2) Fulton, Austin East, Anderson County, and Carter (BTW beat Carter, so i say BTW third or fourth) 3) Fulton, AE, Carter and btw are about equal it would go diff. every other night. and Union County would give them all the wanted as well. Then Anderson County didnt finish well, but they are a good team. then i forgot about Grangier with one of the best gaurds around. so thats 6 teams possibly in AA from the east. 4) fulton, ae, Bearden (AAA soon to be state champs), central, oak ridge, Grangier, Union County, Karns (maybe), and Anderson County (maybe) Not trying to make anybody mad, but i am just calling it how i see it... i have nothing against BTW i wish them the best of luck, but this is as honest as i can be.

and im pulling for all east cuz i played in the east a few years ago and we got put outta the state in AAA by west plus the west is cocky haha. goodluck to yall tho, but im feeling a east domination this year. lol

Btw comes out on top, but to be honest they would finish 3rd or 4th in the district over on the east tennessee side in Carters District and prob be the 5th best AA team if they played in the east. BTW did not impress me at all. probably the 7th best team Carter played all year... Good luck BTW and good game. No worries Carter is really young with two freshman and two sophomores they will be back.
