girls is simply a different story from A to AAA. It is much harder when it comes to guys teams. Hampton sounds stacked in a few years, but playing with good or great AAA teams is not gonna happen in my opinion. never know in basketball though

I dont know about ever, but they are really dirty no doubt... Campbell County year in year out is the dirtiest team around with not only grabbing ur ams, jerseys, etc, they go for elbows to the nose and everything i came away my senior and junior year all beat up haha theyre dirty... they have to be dirty though cuz it makes up for the lack of talent at that school usually.

Oak Ridge by 10 15... they have came around to be a really good team towards the end of the year.

Yeah Maryville was good, but they made a run towards tourney time... Powell was a much better team than them that year, Powell just got matched up with argumentaly the best team in the state tournament that year Oakland, and the region championship where powell beat maryville by 25 wasnt a fluke maryville couldnt run with powell, that was one of the easiest teams faced all year they were too big and slow no offense. I will give it to maryville though they did what it took to win in the state tournament. and if you wanna compare stats powell beat a top team in the nation and that being The Patterson School (NC) that was when they had Cameron Tatum and company, Oak Ridge by 25 in district, beat Bearden, beat dobynns bennett, beat farragut by almost 30, beat halls twice (halls only lost 4 games that year), beat Karns (that was also in Karns hayday), and beat fulton. 2007 was one of the best year for east tennessee from top to bottom in a while. Powell, Halls, Karns, and Oak Ridge were very good out of the 3aaa district, actually the 3AAA district all around was good that year. then Maryville, Bearden, and Farragut were stacked them years as well. I just dont believe Maryville could have beaten Powell, or halls, and maybe not karns, and i dont believe they would have beaten Oak Ridge more than one time if they would have played 5 times. Who knows though the teams were too good all around to tell what wouldve happened. Maryville was a good team that year, but not the best team out of the east, they just did what it took tournament time and got the job done congrats.

o ok i gotcha man, but im gonna be honest the teams as a whole in west tennessee are much better than east tennessee this year, but i still think the best team lies in the east. the west will give bearden all they want and more.

No that Maryville team wasnt the top 5 best in east tennessee they just made a run. that year in east tennessee i would rank that maryville team behind powell (powell beat them by 25 in region championship), halls, farragut, oak ridge, and bearden. I would also rank them below one AA team that being fulton.

ha yea i hate bearden!!! when i played high school ball they beat us twice on some bull, but i still think they are the best as much as i dont wanna say it... and any team that can play Oak Hill to 10 points is one of the best teams in the state. Everybody just needs to forget if they are from the east, middle, or west and just look at the teams talent wize. I am sorry, but if you saw what Bearden had this year then you could not argue that they are the best team in the state on paper, but i am not gonna say they are gonna win state because you never know whats gonna happen tournament time.

The fighting in this thread is never gonna end cuz the east tennessee people has watched Bearden play and they know how good they are this year... and west tennessee is being typical west tennessee and they wont get off there high horse... so everybody just needs to wait a few weeks and see whats happening in the boro. personally i do believe Bearden will win it though.

check the athletes that go through Bearden and then rethink that! Bearden is loaded year in year out with ridiculous talent... its not so much the coaching that it is the players getting the job done. for example bad coaching Oak Hill game perfect example never played all 5 of his best players at the same time until they went down big then if you watched when he played them 5 at the same time they made a big run... those 5 players should have played the majority of the second half TOGETHER! hes made mistakes like these through out this year and years past. Last year substate his team was down and he felt they had a bad attitude so he yanks all 5 of his starters out and puts the bench players in... which made a 5 or 6 point lead for dobynns bennet (i believe) turn into a 20 point lead in minutes.

Yeah i completely agree! its not that they dont have the athletes at that school its just they dont wanna play for south doyle. Theyre there no doubt theyre just not playing for the high school program.

because hes from powell he played at powell he loves powell... i know he wanted that job before from what i heard and if ogan stepped down which i hear is gonna happen very soon i wouldnt be suprised one bit if they offered mercer a head coach job at powell. its a rumor on the streets right now or maybe wishful thinking for powell fans. lol

Yeah blevins is not a very good coach at all, and same for mitchell, but i dont know about the whole AE losing to fulton this year... i know coach wright is a great coach we'll c what happens come tourney time in a few weeks!

Please find me that line up where there is 8 or 9 players 6'5 or taller just for my curiosity because thats really hard to believe thats bigger than some small colleges and they may have a big team, but can all 8 9 of them players play good ball. and I HATE BEARDEN (they ruined our undefeated home streak last year last game of season), but ive seen them play and 4 outta the 5 boys could come play with me at utc next year and 3 could probably start down there. Simpson yes he will go mid-major D1 cuz Tiny (a commit to Oklahoma, one of the best posts in the country) couldnt do anything with demonte, demonte went for 25 against him. Im not sure, but i heard demonte makes pretty good grades and his education comes first. Blake Jenkins is probably the third best player on the team and he may be playin at Virginia Tech if that door ever opens back up. So sayin that Parker and Simpson the two best could play about any mid major school. AE was ranked number one in the state in AA, but theyre not the best team in there district or region and AE was undefeated does that make any sense to you? i give memphis teams credit, but i think this is taken it a lil too far by sayin the number one team in the state bearden bulldogs would be sixth in memphis. dont crack on East Tennessee teams if that one school wouldnt have brought in that transfer who dropped 35 last year against Oak Ridge in the state tourney, then Oak Ridge would have more than likely won the state cuz i saw the talent last year from the west and to tell the truth it didnt impress me at all compared to Oak Ridge... sayin that Bearden is a much better team then Oak Ridge was last year. then two years ago in the state when Powell was in it none of the west teams besides ridgeway impressed me and ridgeway got put out first round and i believe a team that got beat by 25 by Powell in the region won the state and they were from the East (maryville) they werent even in the top 4 teams in the east that year and they brought home a gold ball because they went through them lil west teams easy!!! haha

O i know they will probably have theyre hands full because if thats the top 4 teams in memphis and braircrest is 10 then ur probably right... its gonna be a tight run this year.

Ok let me put this in realistic terms for you... I dont care who or what the west has this year if Bearden plays like they did against Oak Hill or AE there wont be a team that even comes close to touching them... NOT CLOSE now sayin that Bearden is repeditive about chocking come tourney time so we dont know what Bearden team will show up then. No one can match up size and talent wize this year. i dont believe anybody from the west has a line up where it looks somethin like this 6'5 6'5 6'6 6'7 and 6'10 (the big guy is argumentaly one of the best post players in tennessee after the performance against Oak Hill stand out tiny) 4 out of the 5 players will play D1 basketball and a few gaurds can stick there arm pit in the rim because thats what the west is gonna run across this year against Bearden... maybe even 5 players playin D1 ball correct me if im wrong with the whole west thing??? and o yea these boys are not slow either theyre a fast team so the west is not gonna out run em.

All 5 players are big college caliber, plus they have a sophomore or junior thats gonna be college caliber too

Wake Forest was ranked number one in the country how in the world could he be a better fit there and they are in the best conference in college basketball he would sit his career in a chair on the sidelines... go somewhere like mtsu not no major D1 school. hes not olgusby it will not work for him. but he is a great enough player to play mid D1 o yea and he got owned by a freshman at Carter lol
