  1. PHargis, I respectfully disagree about small schools having their day next year. I am from Upper East and we just don't have the population draw nor, for the most part, the size of the Boro and West TN. For the most part, East and Upper East are smaller mountain people. I have seen parents who think their kids are good move to the Boro, or at the least, to Upper Cumberland to the basketball schools there. South Greene and Gville are what pass for East's "basketball schools" and people move into their areas for their kids to play. I also don't think that ANY town in the Boro is a small school!! It's all in where you stand, isn't it??
  2. Okay let's take a look at the schedule posted on Coach T--Campbell County, West Green, Happy Valley Thanksgiving tourney, Sullivan East, Claiborne, Sullivan South ARE all real powerhouses aren't they??? And you played some of the twice didn't you??
  3. Ha Ha--That's great and true!! Anger issues indeed!! Johnny won't get any further next year until he returns to the concept of team ball--all of his losses so far have been to true Team teams. South Green and Powell are the ultimate examples of team ball. If he toughens up his schedule next year he might have to do something about his obvious game plan. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  4. Wow ghsbbfaln, Talk about Bitter Bitsy--take the loss like a DUDE and don't qualify it. You lost!! That is what home court advantage is for. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  5. Im jumping thrds here. I was at the game last night and had several observations. First, West has some ball hogs in on its team. Hall said after the game that "they didn't play like a team in the first half"--first half of what, the year? I noticed at Happy Valley that Galyon doesn't use his whole team like he should. He is letting two people run his entire offense and when those two have a bad day--in other words get out of AA and A and run up against people their own size instead of staying down in AA with us--it took a whole half to get the rest of the team going. I have kept up with West after my team's drumming at the HV tourney, watching to see if he would change his style, but he hasn't. Dickson ate Hall's lunch--Dicksn scored 29?? on her and Hall didn't score a single basket in the second half. She also turned the ball over 5 times. If it weren't for Fanney, May, and Smith, who have been almost silent all year in the face of the two hogs, they would have lost the game. If I was the rest of the IMAC and Shelbyville at the Greenebank Classic, I would shut down Hall, which can be done as we have seen, and force Johny to try and utilize the rest of the team which hasn't been used all year. They will lose, I guarantee you.
  6. It is easy to be "a force" when you are playing singe A teams. It is unfair to those of us in the tourney who weren't AAA to take that beating. I don't want to hear how it makes us a better team, either, because there is a point where it doesn't. West should be playing where they belong--in the AAA bracket if they are that good.
  7. Exactly where is the unselfish in Hall? I have seen several of her games and all I see is a big I instead of TEAM. Actually, there are two big I's on the MWest team. If I was the coach I would be having a talk about team work and passing to the open player. If you shoot 40 times you are bound to get 20 points.
