Yes, you are correct, the freshman also plays basketball & has good feet right now he is about 6’5 330 but will evidently lose so baby fat once he really starts lifting weights. The eight grader is a 6’4 290 & already had some good techniques they was going to let him play with varsity but decided not too!

Yes, left tackle is a freshmen & there’s a 8th grader about his size that already has good technique.

Hopefully, it will be a better game then the first game the Vikings will have to play a perfect game & hope LC is looking to Trenton game. It’s not how you start but how you finish the Vikings just need to give it all on every play!

I agree, LC might win but seven (7) turnovers by Humboldt six (6) weeks ago was the difference. Defense stayed on the field all night & it showed in 2nd half. LC may will by 14 or 21 almost but it want be 42-0!!

I hope so, Vikings got to play smart, make tackles & cutdown on turnovers. Hopefully, the game will be better then the first game Vikings just got to leave it all on the field.

Thanks, it’s been five (5) years since they have been in playoffs this team is very young & need to cutdown on careless turnovers & penalties but plays hard! Humboldt will have to play a GREAT game Friday to have a chance to be Lake county!

Yes, Actually Humboldt had seven (7) turnovers the first game hopefully they will be turnover free & play a better game. If, the Vikings can cut down on the mistake I think it will be a better game but LC wins by two (2) TD’s, Humboldt offense is unpredictable don’t know what to expect but Humboldt has a young team.

Yes, that called changed the game @ was a 14 point swing for WC but Humboldt defense was terrible to many missed tackles. Humboldt had to many penalties and still had chance to win the game!

You are correct, Tony Champion played quarterback in high school but played receiver at UTM. Played for a minute in NFL but is a CFL Gray cup champion & made all star team twice while in CFL. Best season in CFL was 1,500 receiving yards & 15 TD’s. Also, Tony Champion is Kacy First cousin.

Yes, unfortunately I lost all three (3) years to Milan, lost a tough one in 85. 14-13 on a controversial call on 1 yard line were Milan tailback tried to dive over top & fumble ball in mid air & I caught it and was going the other way & referee called a touchdown. That still hurts till this day, lol!!

Yes, those were some great games back in the day, I remember playing in those games from 1984-87 and it use to be standing room only, people standing around the track in Humboldt! I became close friends with Earnest Fields & we actually went on a recruiting trip to UT for weekend. Earnest & Kacy signed with UT and I took a basketball scholarship instead of playing football which I regret to this day! Hopefully, Humboldt & Milan can get that rivalry back one day but Humboldt has to build program back to the way it was in the ole days were Humboldt was considered one of the best programs in West Tn & produced some of the Great tailbacks.

Humboldt will be OK, they have a lot of 9th & 10th graders playing right now and won game against Bruceton but had a lot of penalties. Also, three (3) starters on offensive line didn’t play so Coach Pettigrew is trying to instill discipline with the team on & off the field. All I’m going to say is that if Coach Pettigrew can keep this team improving they have a lot of talent coming from middle school. I predict the Vikings will get five (5) wins this year! The first game against Grace was actually closer then the score, Grace returned three (3) turnovers for TD’s. Humboldt had to many mistakes that game & still had over 545 total yards on offense & could have won.

I think Madison will get the automatic bid to state & UC will have to play MAHS since bot of them were runner-up in their regions which makes since from what I have heard. Can anybody confirm & if so were will the game be played?

WOW, so UC see will get a forfeit game? That's crazy, how can you be at four (4) schools in the same year & you think no one will know, just SAD!!!

Why you say, " MASE will win? MASE has only played six (6) games & four (4) of them against MAHS so I think it's hard to gauge them since they have only played three (3) teams. I think UC can win this game but it will be hard playing it in Memphis. Does anybody know were this game will be played not sure if MASE has a gymnasium?

Yes, they have some rude fans not use to winning but very humble basketball team that can play a slow pace game or up tempo! Good luck to UC Monday night, I will most likely be at game!

Humboldt has no guard play or outside shooters and Sisco did what other good coaches have done to Humboldt this year is play zone & make guards beat you! Also, don’t know why Humboldt didn’t play a match up zone, their man defense was not good as it has been in past years. Great season for Humboldt a very young team with only three (3) seniors. Madison & UC should be a good game & you can’t leave any player open because they basically play with four (4) shooting guards & good 3 point shooting team. Got to play a good match up zone & make them shoot off the dribble, should be a good game. UC big man will be the key is this game in my opinion but it will be close whoever wins!
