  1. willyp6, with such a great post you probably have a Montgomery County education. Now see if you can out 2 big words together.
  2. I might be wrong but Whites Creek had to come from behind to beat Sycamore and Stratford has already lost a game. Riverdale, BA, and Wilson Central are very good. Giles County lost a few players but should still be good.
  3. Gordon may be as goog as Smith, but I hear his grades are so bad that no one can recriut him. Smith grades and his team are better.
  4. That is a good schedule but saying its the best one in the state is a little bit of a reach. Playing a Metro Nashville or Memphis schedule is a very tough thing.
  5. How athletic is Boone? They always have 'trouble' with the clock...
  6. Who will start for Marshall Co.? Did they lose alot from last year?
  7. Jsmack, you my friend, are no JFK. As the french shrimp says......uuhhhhuuuuu.
  8. Jsmack, hows the new job at Heritage treatin ya? I'm Dontae.
  9. I would assume by "everything is downhill" Jsmack was refering to the proper angles to be taken by Lbers as he is a Lber coach. Those Page guys..... they will do anything to stir the pot!
  10. ...Never seem to get up for Sycamore.... so the game shouldn't count? The mental part of the game is important. If they can't get themselves ready to play then they do not deserve the win. Thats a poor excuse.
  11. ELA is right, it is a stupid program someone started to cover their backside and make it appear as if they are really doing something....... its about as useful as a one legged man at an ###### kickin' contest!!!!
  12. Close the thread......but keep your eye on the Page situation.
  13. Actually their record was 6-5. Misleading maybe, but I bet many would trade with them. I still thing Rossview is better though.
  14. Don't know it Sycamore showed much during the Jam. i understand that they are really wing-t oriented. Rossview has lots to play for with there season being possibly cut short. Rossview-35 Sycamore-21
  15. Page has finished 4th two years ago and 5th last year in region 5-3A. To say they stood up to anyone is a hoot! But bullfrog69, I'm sure you will have some excuse for that also. Just go ahead and begin the annual Page self-destruction breakdown as usual and spare us all your superior intelect. As for Eaglefan, NW has made the playoffs 1 time in school history. For one of you guys, especially someone as young as yourself to make such bold predictions is a bit premature. I'm Dontae and I'm gone!!!!!
  16. Eagleboy, beating me is not the issue. Having a chance to be successful over the long haul is the issue. You are right. You should stay at NE. Win your 3 games a year, watch the rest of the state have more and more success and then look back on your career and talk about how much you have helped the kids. Those kids in the winning programs where the coaches and communities did whatever it took to be successful are the ones in the wrong. Clarksville was, is, and with guys like you still leading blind, will forever be everybodies homecoming. Peace..out!
  17. There is a huge difference in a summer league coach and someone who does it correctly for a living. High school coaches, at least the good ones, spend far more hours and time and money in attending of clinics, other schools etc. all over the country to learn new and better ways to teach their sports. I did say the good ones. There are some who do nothing and call themselves coach. You are not a doctor if you give a kid a aspirin. Coaching is a profession just as any other vocation. Having the T-shirt that says COACH in big white letters on the back no more makes you a professional than putting on a helmet and pads makes you a football player. It is obvious by some of these postings such as "as long as there is a game I will be there" type of stuff, that some "coaches" in Clarksville fall more towards the summer league variety than the professional. It is not a matter of do you want to be there, we all do, it is a matter of what is right in the long run for all of Clarksville athletics. Shortsightedness is what has put Montgomery County in the shape it is in now. Don't allow yourselves to fall into the same trap that has captured the commission and school board. CONSIDER THE FUTURE! LEARN FROM THE PAST!
  18. A wise man once said that "you get what you pay for". So eagleboy, if you will work for free then.....well you do the math.
  19. Butler might, or might not, be your friend but just like Kordish, and Miller, he was a short timer also. These two are in it for this year and this year only. Who will schedule you guys when you play no 9th or JV? Who will schedule in varsity if no one is sure if your county will fund sports or not? You had better deal with the problem now or it will continue to worsen. If Clarksville wishes to continue to be average then bow down to the big wigs and see where you are 3 years from now!
  20. Does anyone know what the outcome of the Clarksville football situation will be???
  21. I understand about not being involved in coaching for the money, but I doubt that the people making the cuts would be willing to work for a flat $1500. I bet the Clarksville central office people have not had to share the suffering.
  22. The 13th is wednesday. Coaches resumes are already being circulated among schools that are still looking for coaches.
  23. You ain' leaving my friend because you have no where else to go!
  24. Sycamore has a chance to be top contenders this year in the region. They have a shot of going far in the playoffs. Jem Moore (freshman) is the new FB, runs a 4.5, benches 275, squats 415, and powercleans 250. Freshman remember!
  25. What are southside's chances of going to the state?? Anyone.....
