  1. A little birdie told me TCA has some new recruits that may make their first appearance tonight. Guess yall sweater vesters are getting a jump on next year already.
  2. Nothing like some good home cooking;(
  3. Don't think this game will be that close, TCA does like the underdog role and it fits for this game. Big plays made and given up will be key. TCA hung around with Fayette last week on big plays, don't expect that to happen here nor do I expect them to be able to put together long sustained drives against the Cardinals defense from what I saw on video.
  4. Middleton ran by TCA tonight. TCA got to within 5 during the second half but didn't seem to make any game plan adjustments to the fast pace Middleton brought. Peabody sneaked by Humboldt in a barn burner that was close until the very end! Should be a very exciting District finals
  5. Was able to catch both games tonight. Middleton is very talented and extremely well coached. The Peabody/Humboldt game was a barn burner and exciting to watch!
  6. "1001" I agree totally with you. Its like compareing Lindsey's grapes to Megan's Apple. Besides it taking 5 years instead of 4,Not to mention the fact- the competition that Coalfield has to play against in its district, Region & Substate games are arguably the weakest in the entire state in any classification & its almost obnoxious to daily post some stat of a record being broken daily. This record will be broke again & again until Coalfield goes to the "Boro" & plays their 2 games & goes home. I could go on but I'm sure it would just upset "someone" even more.
  7. I would have thought everyones favorite on this board would have been "PINOCCHIO"
  8. Lady Buc's win by 10 in 6. Coalfield played The Lady Buc's district opponent Portland to a 2-1 loss in late March so I expect to see alot of them yellow balls flying deep when the come over to the midsate to play one of the top teams in the country!
  9. In AAA Beech & Soddy, but it's going to come down to the last few games of the year at the "Boro" before its settled between these two teams & I'm sure the umpires will play their part just like they did last year. Both teams are playin real good right now. Riverdale is pretty much out of contention after them Lady Buc's took'em to the wood shed yesterday.....
  10. If you've been at any of the Beech games you have seen him!!!!!!
  11. Congratulations to the 9 TN. Teams that will be representing our State during the ASA 16U nationals! I’m sure these 9 teams will do a great job! Once again this year Chattanooga teams dominate the field of teams going to nationals this year in the 94/95 age group. But as we are all reminded of so often Chattanooga is the Mecca of softball in Tn. So I’m sure no one is surprised by that fact. Team Break Downs- Mustangs- One of the best teams in the state this year….again as they have been proving on the field. With Skeeter on the mound this team always finds a way to score. Plenty of talent around her. Fury 95- One of the best teams this year as well. Very scrappy & fundamental team all around & it shows when they play the game cause they win….alot. Look for them to surprise a lot of teams that will underestimate them by appearances. Chattanooga Force- Ken always has a good team, knows how to win ballgames & I expect them to do very well. Plenty of surprises still left for this team. Fury 94- Well this is the “Man’s†team & they have the “Stars†on the roster to make some noise. I’m sure expectations are high for them. I expect they could do very well. Impact- This team looked decent at the tournament in Hendersonville that was rain shortened. Got to see them in action in Atlanta during 1 game & it looked like they had added some depth at pitching & a playmaker in CF adding to what they were playing with in Hendersonville. Xplosion- Coach Drake has been doing this for awhile & I’m sure after qualifying this past weekend in NC he has his team hungry for some more Wins! Frost Falcons Red- Not sure how they qualified but everyone knows they don’t just give these berth’s away. This is a scrappy team from top to bottom. Germantown Red Devils- I’m guessing this team qualified by winning their locally awarded berth. (again) Cyclones- Also not sure how this team qualified… They will sure have fun being there. Good Luck to all the teams playing from all over the country, I can’t wait to watch all the games & meet all them folks from the West Coast!
  12. Not a whole lot of suprises today! I did have them folks down at the creek picked to win their first game but it is probably no suprise to anyone that Chat. Central won this game.... I had Central pick earlier this year as a possible Champion in AA with a potential "Chattanooga 3 Sweep" & that possibility is still alive. It does appear that the teams from the "west" are considerably weaker this year than in the past few years with 4 of the 5 west teams getting absolutly pounded today with Munford going to take their lickin tomorrow & Decatur Co. barely getting past a less than impressive Houston Co. Round "two" picks- A Grace Cornersville Coalfield TCA AA Chat. Central Unicoi Creekwood Chester Co. AAA Riverdale Maryville Will pick other two AAA teams once round 1 games are complete!
  13. "Redman" I'm glad to see you agree with my first round picks... On paper that is how it should go... But the young ladies will have the final say on the field this afternoon & we will see if there are any suprises in store for us to discuss next!
  14. Newbie...Please re-read my picks for first round winners again! The teams in bold are not picked to win it all?.... surely you are smart enough to figure it out!!
  15. Cornersville may dethrone the 2010 champ but will not win against the future 2011 champion Grace Baptist!
  16. “The Ball Experts†first round Winners!! AAA Beech Riverdale Soddy-Daisy Seymour AA Goodpasture Creekwood Gibbs Unicoi A Decatur Co Grace Cornersville Marion Co. For some of these teams it will be the last game they win this year though!!
  17. That was a tough one for CC, I'm sure thats not how the CC fans had that one written up But like they always say in CC.....Just wait til Next year!!!
  18. I can understand that it may be kinda hard to see from the side your sitting on! But truley a show all by itself
  19. 2010 Gatorade PLAYER OF THE YEAR ELLEN RENFROE OFFICIALLY NOT PITCHER of the year
  20. I'm sure it sounds better in your mind when you tell yourself that the only reason Creekwood didnt win their district last year & then go on to the "Boro" was due to the "best player in the state" last year?? Brandenburg was & still is a great player & definitly the best player in your district during recent years. But please remember all sports fans have opinions & they are much more credible if they are backed up by credible numbers & I believe it would be extremly difficult to compile numbers that would place Amanda above Ellen in that particular catagory.
  21. Mrnoitall is the “premier authority†on HS softball in the Mid State area! He knows everything softball & if you think you know more then you are dead wrong, but he does still owe me a “hotdog†from a couple of years ago on a wager we had.
  22. Westview will make it back to the "Boro" again unless they have a really bad game. I've seen them play at the "Boro" the last few years. Robb is a sound pitcher.
