i love all the signal mountain parents on here trying to make Baylor's coach Westmorland look like the bad guy. All he did was step in and put his back towards signal mountain players to shield them off the baylor player. I can honestly say there were never any of these fights started by baylor kids. no baylor kids even fought when there were 4 signal mountain kids kicking and punching baylors player. or on the bayor sideline when the signal kid punched baylor's runningback. there was still no retaliation by any baylor players. this should be embarrassing to signal mountains program and parents. Just play the game. as for the football part of it, baylor looked significantly better than signal. signal could not move the ball on baylors starting offense. And for those who think it was baylors jv that got scored on, it was strictly 8th and 9th graders only out there. signals younger kids look really good, and one running back that could move really well. But if it were an actual game i think baylor could put up 50 easy. to signals very littte. lets face it, when signals 1st offense was in, they gained more yards from penaltys then there actual play.

It is just amazing how Baylor can still win matches without wrestling their team captains, and zach watson. Good win for Baylor. Hope to see them healthy for state.

i think those were some bold predictions. however, i dont think doster will lose. i think doster will get the major. The matchup between Martino and Shuford will be a close one. Shuford could not wrestle last year because of a shoulder injury, but his soph. year he had a good year. I think he is tougher than Martino and can come out with a win. he could possibly get a pin.

Well that is where your first mistake is. Stuart Doster was a sophomore last year while Michael Hooker was a freshman. Therefore, Stuart would have to be ranked with the Juniors, not with the freshman/sophomores, hence Michael Hooker being on the list and Stuart Doster not being there. You are just making a mistake with your grades. good point ghouse. thank your for correcting me. it slipped my mind because i thought hooker was a freshman when he one his first state title, but i remember now he was in 8th grade. my mistake

oldwiseone- It wasn't a win for me i'm just a fan of the rivalry. I could have cared less who won. I was just glad Baylor got the win after 11 long years. and other notes: Baylor lost to MBA because stupid mistakes. Living in Nashville, i got to attend the game. Baylor just did not do anything right. MBA scored all their points on short field situations. Baylor had the ball inside the 15 yard line 3 times and could not score. One happened to be a fumbled snap on the goal line. MBA did not score a point the entire second half. Baylor just made to many offensive mistakes.

is that the same mike hooker from Tn who did not win state in 2009 to another 10th grader? Thats weird, because i did not see the kids name on there who beat him in the state finals.

congrats to the balyor squad with a big win. just want to say sorry to Wresle90. from where i was sitting you looked pretty upset, but it could have just been the lighting in the gym making you look so mad. also i would like to say job well done to mr. mackey and mr. henry. both showed great potential for 2 youngsters. mccallie wrestling is on the rise and maybe mccallie can pull it out next year, but hey they always have football it seems.

congrats to the bears, sure wish the match could have been more exciting. i hope soddy can bounce back from this loss, but it is evident that they didnt have some of their wrestlers, so keep fighting soddy.

your hilarious. or maybe if he went to mccallie he could be on the rock climbing team. but from what has been said, nelson is a good football player and would be a great asset to the team. i heard the baylor team isnt looking so bad this year. the only thing is they had to replace their entire offensive line. as for a mccallie that could be somewhat scary because it seems all mccallie really has is mr. rush at quarterback now. so we will see if your blue tornados can keep the streak alive.

well shallowHal, i dont see mcclure coming to close to a victory much less a major. there are rumors about stone being hurt but even if he wasnt, older Hayes would win. also, Shuford did not wrestle this year it seems like. eady could upset ward, but ward did beat eady pretty bad earlier this year at the mccallie invitational

i understand, i just wanted to be able to watch some good matches, and there is no hate towards tj from me. i know hes a good kid and i wish him the best. the commens were just made all in good fun and humer to get things started. bc thats what you wanted

the three matches all seem to be great. baylor mccallie is usually great(exception of last year). but i dont understand all the hype around the battle of the irish. im sorry to all those green irish, but i see this match being a little lopsided in the opposing teams favor. the father ryan and brentwood match is really interesting. i could help clear up the confusion of the top 3/4 teams in d2. these matches all have the potential of being must see matches. good luck to all the wrestlers. even the ones who dont wrestle to protect seedings (cash)
