Well...................according to expirates stats i would say there would be no reason to fire Coach Webb. There are always character issues and things unforseen to the public eye. I myself am in no position to judge someones character especially Coach Webb with whom i have only seen while sitting in the stands. I can't speak for the football suggestion made either. I will make one brief comment on it however, S Pitt is rich for its football tradition and could be valid but lets not point fingers because football put the school on the map. Winning the district for the first time in school history just one season ago and then getting canned seems pretty odd to me. If anyone has some more info on the hiring of a new coach and the firing of the last one please comment! Interesting topic! I have not heard of any concerns from the Grundy area about losing their coach and i don't see Coach W leaving Grundy right now. I got to see their jv play this year and they are stacked. Seems like she has put in alot of hard work to just leave and go to S. Pitt. Just my thoughts if anybody has any inside info i would like to know as well. However, that would be a sweet deal for South Pitt.

I'm sorry guys i dont like to be negative but.....looking at the record of Coach Smith there is no need for a chance to turn it around. I do not know Coach Smith i am just looking at the record and it was terrible. There was no gains that i saw in the records in the past couple of seasons. Again, I'm not trying to make anyone mad just stating my opinion. Bystander, I see your point of view on the subject. I think your are taking a logical view that if ticket sells were down i dont think the best idea is to raise prices. Seeding would not be a bad idea. However, west Tn. play the games and quit crying. Just last week in the girls tournament #3 Mcminn Central had to play #2 Upperman in the sectionals! Yes, that is how the tournament bracket worked out but neither of the teams were crying b/c they were having to play in the sectionals. They were actually excited about the match-up! Most people were saying the winner could very easily win state and as it turned out Mcminn won the game and lost first round of the state. So, in conclusion does it stink that two top ranked teams play in the quarterfinals? Heck yeah, but the reality is TSSAA does not have a seeding system it is a blind draw and sometimes this is what we have to deal with. Conspiracy theory? C'mon just play ball!

Nice to see that you guys have such a supportive fan base. Most fans would be upset over the one loss, even after such a remarkable season. You guys are a breath of fresh air. Congratualtions on a great season!
