  1. I really dont expect much to change from what happened this year. While Alcoa loses a great player in the back (#21?), and also Thompson, they still have many skilled players that will be returning. CAK will be just strong as they always are (I dont know how G continues to do it, but congrats on another state title!), and CCS to be strong again. Those 3 will be the forces of A/AA next year, I believe. I dont know too much about west tennessee, so I'll leave that up to the people who know more than I do about that area.
  2. I'll say Brentwood and Cleveland in the final with Brentwood winning
  3. Congrats Mark! and imagine if he wins the national player of the year!
  4. A/AA Alcoa CAK CCS East Ridge Hume-Fogg Colombia Academy USJ J. North Side AAA Bearden Farragut Cleveland McMinn County Hendersonville Brentwood Cordova White Station
  5. Although both teams looked sorta tired, and didn't quite play up to their potential (which is understandable since both teams played multples OTs on tuesday night), I expect to see these 2 in the state championship game (If that matchup will be possible). Good luck G and Akula in sectionals and hopefully the state tourney.
  6. has everyone forgotten what alcoa did 2 days ago? They knocked off CATHOLIC, who had been to the state tournament for what 6 or 7 years in a row? I do think CAK will win, but it will not be due to lack of experience from Alcoa. I think CAK is just a slight bit better, but I would not be surprised at all to see Alcoa win. Good luck to G and Akula
  7. Farragut is just an all around great team this year, even moreso than most years. Don't get me wrong, Bearden is great too, but Farragut is just in the zone right now, and I think they are a little better. I'll go 3-1 Farragut.
  8. I was at the game, and my heart broke for Mark when the game ended. He is such a great player, who unfortunately never made it all the way. He is one of the best high school kids I've seen in at least 5 or 6 years. I hope his success continues at Memphis.
  9. do i get a medal? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> lol
  10. Should be a great game. I'll go with Alcoa 3-2, as long as they play up to their potential
  11. I would love to see Carter win (sorry G), just because of Mark. Although Carter has the best player on the field, CAK is just better all around. I'll go CAK 4-2
  12. I know Seymour is moving up for sure. I would doubt Alcoa is, but i dont know for sure.
  13. wow, thats tough that one of these teams is going to be done after tuesday night. I'll go with Oak Ridge 3-2. Should be a great game, but unfortunately someone has to lose between these two great teams
  14. wow. looks like alcoa has certainly gotten out of their scoring struggles. Look out for them if they keep this up.
  15. ummmmm no it shouldnt be. they played 2 weeks ago and it was 8-0. No disrespect to GC, they have improved, but not that much
  16. I dont know how u could argue against that district (4AAA I think). Bearden and Farragut are always great teams competing for a state title. In addition, West and Maryville have been on the rise the past few years, and are also state contenders this year. Not to mention the "weaker teams" in the division are good too, in Lenior City and Sevier County
  17. Carterhigh16, that's a bit biased. From what I saw in the 2nd half, and what I heard from the 1st half, Alcoa had plenty of chances to score, take the lead, and blow the game out of the water. Didn't Carter only have like 5 shots on goal? Just my opinion
  18. Sorry Akula, I wasn't sure what exactly what went on. If something did happen hopefully it was nothing serious. Again, great game
  19. Very classy Akula. The game was great but there were a couple of things that troubled me. The first goal for Carter shouldn't have been. I hate to harp on bad officiating but that call was very iffy, but it was still a beautiful kick by mark. The other thing, which really bothered me was I thought I saw a Carter step on an Alcoa player's leg (Brodus I believe) intentionally (I believe), and I hate seeing that. Apparently the ref didn't see it, so there was no call, which was even more frustrating. So take it for what it's worth. Nevertheless it was a great game.
  20. I agree Science Hill has more talent, but they haven't really been able to put on the field consistently. Also, I'll take the hotter team just about everytime. I'll say D-B 4-2
  21. Ref, that's a bit of a biased opinion, or at least to me. Grigsby is a great player. He and Mark are arguably one of the better 1-2 punches in (at least) east tennessee. If not the whole state. Not to mention, Cross is a solid player also.
  22. That is disappointing G. I enjoy watching both of those games very much. Both are bitter rivals and are usually good games. Looks like a coin flip will decide which game I'll have to go see haha.
  23. I think Seymour has the better overall team, but Carter has better individual players (not just mark). I expect an offensive shootout, which is carter's strength, so I'll go with Carter 5-3
