  1. Thank you good sir! I got a bit ahead of myself LOL! I'll go correct that.
  2. That's good to hear about those two boys getting back to health Crow!! I guess what intrigues me most about this game is the fact that this could be a round 1 or 2 playoff game when the time comes!
  3. Couldn't have asked for a better game to start the season out in 2A! Oneida and Rockwood are both very respectable programs. I got a good bit of info on Oneida when they scrimmaged Harriman and have saw Rockwood as well. I'll take Rockwood at home by 7. You heard it here first!! Get ready cause we're less than 10 days away!!!!
  4. Can't believe it's that time but it's here again! The jamboree is at Kingston and high school action begins at 7 PM. The games are as follows. Cumberland County vs Oneida Oliver Springs vs Rockwood Wartburg vs Midway Harriman vs Kingston There are some very good matchups by the looks of it! Let's hear some insight, especially from you out of county teams!
  5. You know, from doing some research over them I think you're right! Harriman has about 2-4 games that are 50/50 games. If they can play defense then they should get back to the playoffs!
  6. Good luck from the Devils Den down in Harriman! You guys have made an excellent football program over the past 5 years or so!
  7. For you boys down south, how will Silverdale Academy be? I have heard bits and pieces that they should be solid but I would like to hear from someone who knows? I think Grace will be a tough out this year and very capable of bringing home the gold, but my gut tells me Goodpasture will be the team to beat! I personally would like to see Grace and Boyd meet back up. I've been to Boyd the past 2 years to watch Rockwood play them and I think they have a respectable program. I can say from the folks I met down there, you guys handle yourselves well for a private school!
  8. You'll probably see a typical Rockwood team. Not a dominant team by any means, but a competitive one. Long will shoulder the load for the Tigers in the backfield and the defense should be tough as well. I think Rockwood should go about 6-4.
  9. If you'll go to your teams schedule on here, at the bottom of the schedule will be a link to look at the previous year. You can go as far back as 2001.
  10. Just doing some random research and I decided I would calculate the home records since 2001 of all the teams in my county, which is Roane County. Below is the records from 2001 to this past season. Kingston: 39-21 Harriman: 25-38 Rockwood: 41-24 Midway: 42-26 Oliver Springs: 34-35 Surprisingly, Midway comes away with the most wins at home. Morgan County: Coalfield: 50-23 I'll update more later. Add some records for your school!
  11. Bryan Powers from Rockwood Middle School was hired by Greenback. He had put together a 45 game winning streak, along with 2 straight state/sectional championships, along with 3 straight trips to the state tournament. Obviously the high school game is alot faster paced than middle school, but I believe Greenback will be pleased with this hire. He knows how to win!
  12. I would expect their wins to be against: Hancock Co., Sunbright, Whitwell, Wartburg, and Meigs Co. Losses I would expect: Rockwood. Grace, Midway, Greenback, Tellico Plains. I feel like the games against Wartburg, Meigs, and TP could go either way but that's just my two cents worth right now
  13. Cominig from someone very close to the situation, consolidation is very much still in consideration considering the budget. The consolidation WILL NOT happen for the 2013-14 academic year, it will take affect for the 2014-15 year if they decide to go that route. It's not out of the question by any means. I will be interested to see how this next commissioner election goes.
  14. John will be fine. No assumption was made at all, except for the fact that he can play.Yes, with his potential he could end up being better than Xavier was. I don't expect him to come up and be an all-state player his freshman year or anything but given his potential and what he's done so far, there's no reason not to think he won't do big things at Harriman!
  15. Harriman should be a very interesting team to watch this year. Last year was a pretty solid year, winning the district title but unfortunately falling in the region semis to Wartburg. This year I strongly believe Harriman can fight for another district title. Grace should and will be favored with the personnel they have coming back, but I think Harriman will be able to compete for the district even after losing the key seniors like Xavier Howard. Size shouldn't be much of an issue for Harriman this year as you bring back upcoming seniors Chase Randolph who played valuable minutes and was a starter last year, and Scott Nelson, who progressed all through the season last year as well. Guard play should be very strong with Junior Jacob Gresham and freshman John Johnson. If Johnson will keep his head on straight, he can and should be better than Xavier was. This kid is one of the best young guys i've saw in a while, when his attitude is in check. Look out for the Big Blue this year!
  16. I believe Harriman will surprise alot of people this year. Given the fact they lost Xavier, they still have quite a bit of talent plus a great add-on with freshman John Johnson who can just about do it all. Harriman has a few very critical pieces that need to play out over the summer, and if they do they should be right there fighting for their 4th district championship in 5 years!
  17. Harriman is coming off back to back rough seasons with a 3-7 and 1-9 record. This year the schedule has softened for them and they've got a very solid amount of young talent. I still believe Harriman is about a year away from getting back to competing for the district, but I think they can finish around 5-5 this year. Thoughts and predictions?
  18. Not quite sure who else will shoulder the load with Long. As for Harriman, they are about a year out from being competitive again. With the weak schedule they have this year i'd give them about a .500 record, that's just my guess to start things out!
  19. I despise any program that does things the wrong way. You can tell me what you want and what you think you know. You have no idea at what I do know about Grace "Christian" Academy and your great school alongside your $50,000 football field. I can think of alot better things to do with that kind of money with people of Knoxville, rather than get turf to attract every high caliber player in the Knoxville area.
  20. First you're wrong for the fact that i'm not a Rockwood man. In fact i'm a graduate of Harriman High School. I didn't state anything untrue, just what I was told by your very reliable sources. The way they left was one thing, and to leave for your last year or 2 of high school makes no sense. If you wanted to do that then you should've left long before high school started, that's why it looks fishy. By the way if you want facts, tell your kids to line their stories up. They're the ones that told me the info, so if you're telling me i'm starting rumors then you're accusing your kids of lying.
  21. Rumor is that Bruce Robinette has resigned. Any truth to that?
  22. It's easier to bs stories like that when you're school is being paid for as well as playing on a $50,000 football field.
  23. Cudos to you Coach Inman for being a disgrace to Rockwood. It's funny out of "every school" your boys looked at, they picked Grace. I can see why you left Rockwood with your unlogical thinking. Privates have every advantage over publics any day. On a good year a public schools can compete with a private, but not year in and year out. Private schools have magical transfers from all over, as opposed to publics playing with what they're given! They're might be a handful of publics that consistently compete with private schools in 1A and 2A. If you were so worried about academics above all else, why not send them to Concord or Knox Christian, to solely focus on academics. The integrity of you and the boys speaks volumes when you leave a place you've coached and your family has played at to go to a private school that's known state-wide for their cheating and poor sportsmanship! Have fun at Grace, especially when the investigation gets started again soon. I guarantee you Coach Webb doesn't take to nicely to this classless move.
