  1. I agree 100%. Columbia is the class of 8AAA. Good Job Columbia players and coaches.
  2. Cancled due to weather! Don't know if it will be made up at a later time.
  3. I hope they get to play it tomorrow because it will be a good game to get ready for the Columbia / Tullahoma games Tuesday & Wednesday. Anyone have any predictions on tomorrows game?
  4. Like the line in the movie The Bad News Bears '"We Win As A Team & We Lose As A Team" . It was only one of four times we've lost this year. Last year at this time Tullahoma fans and players would have loved only to be able to say we've only lost four times this season. No one player is the reason Franklin Co won the game. They did their jobs and made plays when they needed to last night. Tullahoma did not. That's why the score at the end of the game was Franklin Co. 5 Tullahoma 2. Tonight's game will be a tough hard fought ball game. The team that wins tonight will be the team that does their job the best and makes the fewest errors. Should be a very good ball game. Go Wildcats!
  5. Tullahoma won both games from Lebanon today. Two more road wins. I'm looking forward to the two game series with Columbia the last week of district play. Should be two Great games to watch.
  6. I saw the plate umpire in the Tullahoma / Shelbyville game Tuesday night make a Shelbyville batter move back to the Shelbyville dugout side. He had moved to the Tullahoma side because his teamate that was batting at the time was a left handed hitter.
  7. Thanks Eagle for the last comment. I was there last night and T-town at this point in the season is playing very good; but still alot of games to be played. Are the Golden Eagles young or has there been some injuries that are having an adverse effect on the team? T-Town is fairly young; but playing so much better than last year. The long hours that the Tullahoma team and coaching staff have been putting in is showing results.
  8. Tullahoma beat Madison Co. 8-1 in their final game in the Jackson Mississippi Tournament. We are all proud of you Wildcats!
  9. Posted on Tullahoma Sports .Net the Wildcats Lost 7-5 to Jackson Prep; they dominated the second game and won 15-4 over Oak Grove. Go Wildcats!
  10. Tullahoma beat Memphis University School 2-1 Thursday @ Jackson, Mississippi
  11. Tullahoma played last night like a team that was proud to be representing Tullahoma. Very few mental errors made and thats why they were in control most of the game. The Wildcats are a young team; but last night they were clicking. Honea did a great job manageing the game on the mound. I'm wondering how many hits they got with two outs on the score board; i'm thinking at least rour. Great Effort Keep It Going Wildcats
  12. I agree you don't get better and you really don't know how good your team is playing teams you know are proably going to be a sure win for you. I think you play teams that you know are better than you; its no disgrace to lose to a better team that gives your program something to build on win or lose. If you lose to a single A or AA team that you are supposed to beat only bad things come from this.
  13. Well said Good Luck to all!!!!!
  14. I want put my two cents in here. I agree with you nicholas233. I think its a Great accomplishment for these seniors to have made it to the region three out of the four years they have played for Lawrence County. The only luck I see here is bad luck on not having their starting pitcher for over half of this season. Go to Blackman and play hard! Good Luck to the players, coaches and fans of Lawrence County. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  15. Columbia is at least 5 years away from having lights according to what my sources are telling me. I think they should be given the chance to hoist it in 2010 if they can have it at Columbia ST. I think Columbia will be the best with Shelbyville, Lincoln Co., Tullahoma and Franklin Co. fighting it out for second place. I do think the regular season champ should account for something.
  16. I know its early; but I was just wondering how the new 8 AAA will shake out in 2010?
  17. Congrats to CC and Lawrence Co. Great play by both teams in the district Tourney. I myself hate to see Coffee County move out of the district in 2010. Good Luck to both teams the rest of the way!
  18. I agree there was a problem with the concession stand last night ; the reason for this was the booster club sold all remaning food off because they were not planning to have anymore high school games. They went out and bought more and sold it out before the 4th inning. I know they went out and bought more at that time to make through the 2nd game. Hopefully things will run much smoother tonight. Congrats to Coffee Co. They really stepped up last night. Looks like CC and Lawrence Co. are starting to swing the bats at the best time. Also what about that freshman pitcher coach white put on the mound last night. Goodluck to all 8 AAA teams the tournment is shapeing up to be a good one!!!!
  19. I also agree that Tullahoma has the best all around facilites to host the 8 AAA tournment. The lighting does need some work. The field for the players to play on is a great place to play. For the fans having the covered grandstand, a good concession stand and good rest rooms makes it a great place to hoist the tourney. The problem I see about Grider Stadium is Tullahoma is to occoupied with the new football stadium and letting a true gem of a baseball stadium crumble away. I hope they wake up before its to late for Grider!
  20. As of this moment when is the deadline that the TSSAA says that the games must be played by? A lot of fans, parents would like to know!
  21. The Wildcats played very good last night. I was pleased with how much they had cut down on the mental mistakes and errors. Coach white and the staff did a great job of game management and the players did not look like the Tullahoma Baseball Team that gave away so many games this year. I to agree that there were way to many runners left on base. One other thing I noticed and I may be wrong; but the team coach white used last night really only had one Senior (Bryant) and they were playing hard. When I saw that he had moved Honea from SS to 2B I questioned myself why? But it worked out because more balls were hit to 2B than SS . Thats why the coaches coach and I'm a parent that wonders about why coaches do the things they do. Great move by Coach White. My last thought; with all the rain in the forecast what is the plan since Columbia has no lights?
  22. I didn't mean in my post that the kids have to be a STAR in all sports that they play. What I meant and I thought I made my self clear was that in my many years watching, coaching and playing sports my observation is this. Very seldom does a true three sport or even a two sport star come along. Even though alot of parents are drilling this into their kids mind soon after the start playing the game. I don't think we have that at THS though I may be wrong about this year. From observation sitting and watching the Wildcats play this year here is what I see. Bryant is a gifited player; but he has been under so much pressure this year trying to do so much it has hurt him. Very seldom has he had the luxury of pitching in games where he has had the lead. His junior year he was also swinging the bat much better. He is still the STAR of the team even though his junior year was better than his senior season. The rest of the team is at best players that have been asked by Coach White and his staff to play a role or sometimes even two to three different role. This will help next years team and his teams for years to come. What has hurt this years team is that the players more often than not were not playing their roles " Making So Many Errors" during the game. Anyone who knows much about baseball and this years THS baseball Team knew this was the start of the rebuilding of the baseball team. Most of the pieces are in place. A very good Head Caoach and Coaching Staff, The younger players that are coming in"Freshman and Sophmores from this years team. Also something we have not dicussed the summer ball team that Coach White puts together will also be a big help to next years THS Baseball program. I see a lot of oppourtinites for parents and fans to help with the start of getting THS baseball back. Will the parents and fans make the right decision to support the Team or will the continue to be part of the problem. Parents let the kids play, Sit in the stands and enjoy the games. Let the coaching staff do the job they have been hired to do. Great Times are ahead for this program if your smart enough to "PLAY THE ROLE YOU ARE ASKED TO PLAY!!!!!" Playeres listen to what your coaches are telling you and practice hard so when your in the game you can play that role/position that has been assigned to you by the coaches. Parents know your role and be a TEAM PLAYER also. This is the only way we can be a success. GO THS WILDCATS!!!!!!!
  23. I know the Baseball Coach does not demand that his players play only baseball. You'll have to ask the other coaches of football and basketball what they are telling their players. But I would think a player would have a better chance to excel if he/she has a lot of athletic ability and only pays and trains for that onbe sport. I think most of the problems in High School Athletics is that parents all believe their son/daughter will be the next three sport STAR!!! By doing that they are putting alot of undue pressure on them!
  24. Thanks for the post. That is someting that I had not thought about with all the distractions that have been taking place. Your observation makes me as a fan and a parent feel much better about what is ahead for this team. This has been a very tough year for this team, fans & espically for the coaching staff. Only a few fans/parents really know how hard the coaches have been working; and want to give them the credit they deserve. They lost a game tonight that they had battled back in after getting in a big hole early. Again thanks for your insight on this. I hope everyone who reads this and sees that there is no advantge to holding back kids in a classifaction just so they can win because it will catch up to them on down the line. Keep your heads up Tullahoma Wildcat Baseball Players, Coaches, Parents and Fans. Whether you realize or not Tullahoma has one of the BEST Young Head Coaches and coaching staffs that you could have. No one will out work them. Better days are ahead. Don't Give Up!
