  1. He's top 2 or 3 athletes on the field at all times. So.. pretty well. Although he doesnt like to scramble, that's why he's thrown for so many yards. As for the other guy who thinks that CAK fans are "trashing" Milan, I've never known any real CAK fans who knew anything to "trash" the opponent. I think you might be fishing for bulletin board material just for fun
  2. Lots of schools say this to CAK when they have not played them before. Is that because they think the private school kids cant hang with the "big tough" public school kids? I sure hope not, because that's a very poor assumption. CAK has proven again and again (Alcoa the past few times, Polk last year, Loudon, AC, etc.) that they can play with the big tough guys and beat them. These kids arent afraid or weak. I dont mean to rant, but people get me fired up when they seem to assume that CAK will just roll over once they get hit a few times or that they've never been hit or experienced "noise/pain". I can assure you that Alcoa last year brought more "noise/pain" than you would know what to do with and CAK hung with em 14-3. This'll be a great game I think. Both teams are having special years and are new to this level of the playoffs. I predict a high scoring game. FB Dad....ask your linebacker about some special guest appearances at practice this week. As always...GO WARRIORS
  3. Hearing of this victory warmed my heart. My warrior brethren did it. Congrats guys, you earned this. Even if Aloca is "down" or CAK is "down". It doesnt matter. This is a classic rivalry and is just awesome. Go Warriors
  4. I was told that someone very closely affiliated with Scott football told some CAK friends of his that High will throw for 1000 yards tonight. Oh and for the hardcore CAK fans, High is currently 1100 yards and 10 TDs behind Epperly's senior stats. Just something fun to keep track of See yall tonight
  5. That's what I like to hear. Real glad for 81 getting back on track. Hopefully this'll give the defense some confidence going into the district stretch. Confidence is a big deal on defense. If the next game is at home, hopefully I'll see you there
  6. How did the game go? I know we won 35-8 but that's all i know. Wish so badly I coulda been there. FootballDad, GVK, let's hear it
  7. I'm having trouble understanding this post
  8. Agreed GVK. I can only speak for CAK, but there arent any real "recruiting battles" going on between Grace and CAK. our only "recruiting pitches" come from our awesome coaching staff and what we do on the field, which the past couple of years, including this year, has been very impressive. Dont bring up this "recruiting" garbage anymore. you dont have any facts to present and you're probably just angry about whatever school you cheer for getting beat by a private school.
  9. How does Grace's running game compare to the past two years? better? worse? also, both coaching staffs have to be getting familiar with the other teams play sets after 3 years of film and such. Does anyone see that playing a factor into this? Will Coach Bradely have to develop some new plays to throw at Grace? will the CAK defense have some new packages to stop Grace's offensive scheme? This should be a fun one. CANT WAIT
  10. From what I heard on the radio, this was one of the easiest victories the CAK program has had in quite some time. GO WARRIORS and goodluck next week. It's been tough hearing/watching the past two games so dont take this time for granted. its special. Go Warriors
  11. It was easy to see who was ready to play from the get go. After the delay as well, CAK looked more prepared and ready to play hard. AC had 6 or 7 turnovers, I forget which. People might say that's the only reason CAK was able to win, but frankly that's just dumb. CAK was ready to got, AC looked less ready to go. The fight that occured between a few AC players after the second fumble was sad, humorous, and ridiculous all at the same time . Josh Smith, Davis Howell, Charlie High, and the rest of the CAK offense was awesome all night long. The O line really surprised me and did an awesome job. Corey Rathbone looked solid as well. The defense for CAK was better than I thought they would be as well. Looked like they got a little beat up and tired in that 3rd quarter. maybe the delay helped them recover, but it looked like CAK would have won pretty easily anyway. when AC scored their last two touchdowns, CAK had freshman at linebacker and defensive end. Anyway, GO WARRIORS!! Team looked solid tonight, and if guys stay healthy and the defensive line continues to improve and get some depth, it should be a fantastic year for the Warriors.
  12. Take it easy APB, OleWarrior's been out of the loop. The loss of Murchison is a pretty big loss, but I know that the rest of the Warrior offense will be up to the task at least. they may have looked suspect during the jamboree or whatever, but i know these kids and they thrive under pressure and competition.
  13. Go Warriors. "olewarrior", I'll tell you how it goes via text Thursday. Go Warriors. This'll be a great game. CAK's defense looked pretty fast and tackeled well at the jamboree but they looked like they could use some work. Offense is gonna be NASTY if they can live up to their potential. any injuries coming into this one for either team we should be aware of?
  14. We're good. Just nobody in the state knows it because we play in Alcoa's quad every year. Tonight proved that the state championship game is rarely the best 2 teams in the state.
  15. "big boy ball"?? I think Alcoa knows a thing or two about "big boy ball". Alcoa would beat any Division 1 team in the state. 80% of them by as many TD's as they wanted. Alcoa would beat Maryville again and they'd beat Greeneville. They'd smoke anybody else. Havnt seen Franklin or Smyrna or Hendersonville play but I dont think I need to. People who say Alcoa needs to watch "big boy ball" is making a fool of themselves.
  16. wrath* -You're friendly CAK neighbor. We're always here to correct any grammatical or spelling errors you may have.
  17. no sir, I'm #7. Jordan (#11, cancer victim) is a junior and will be playing next year. He's already playing basketball and is almost at full speed again. I'm a senior and played corner. sorry for the confusion. My username is based off my year of graduation, not football number.
  18. I appreciated your encouragement, sir. I was suprised at how many people came up to me and my friend as we were watching the game, even one or two on the coaching staff, giving us all kinds of compliments. It really means alot, that even though we'll never play again, me and my friends left an impression on everyone that watched us play. The Alcoa fans I ran into last night all had alot of class. Have fun watching the game next week in Cookeville.
  19. Ok I'm pretty unbiased and the 20 points is VERY misleading. Betsy had no chance from the beginning. yes, Betsy's kids didnt give up. But it was Betsy's starters vs. ALcoa's F3 and F2's. Alcoa scored 6 TD's in about 16 minutes. whoever the corner is that Elizebethton put one on one versus Isom was in an impossible position, and I can relate with him, only we played zone. heckuva lot easier because you have safety help, and you can jump on the outs and hitches. Elizebethton's guy had no chance. The 20 points is misleading to how lopsided this game was. Don't get too excited about the 20 points. this wasnt even close
  20. It was me Scots. our name is similar, show some me some love. I wasnt trying to explain why CAK lost to Alcoa. I was saying that Alcoa probably wouldnt have won all those championships with just their in zone players. I'll be there tonight, go F5
  21. ok... let's stop insulting lawyers. this thread should be over I'll be at the Alcoa/Betsy game in my letterman, proud of the name on the back (Warriors). Go F5, keep on towards Cookeville. Betsy shouldnt give you any trouble. O-line isnt as good as CAK's and neither is the QB or WR. WR are pretty solid though. and watch out for #7. he can move pretty good. But so can #4, #29, #1, #16, #81, #39, and so on throughout the Alcoa roster. I'm gettin excited for the food at Goddard. Remind me again of the menu...?
  22. I hope you're being your usual self BC and trying to make a joke. The "financial aid" thing works like this: If you recieve ANY financial aid from the school, you are automatically disqualified from playing any sports whatsoever. even if you just havnt paid the tution, and arent getting paid by the school, you just arent paying the tuition at all, then you are disqualified. I know, because its happened to two of my friends.
