  1. Oops think I missed 2 the 1st wk. Record is 6-3.
  2. Tuesday 1/15 CAK over Alcoa Stone over Scott Kingston over Loudon (might miss this one) Record 7-2
  3. Heritage vs William Blount Friday night, should be a great game. County braggin rights plus it will go a long way in determining tournament seeding.Think Heritage will win but since I miss 50% of the time, William Blount will probably pull out the home win by 1 point! Wish I could be there but got go 90 miles for a district game maybe I can listen on my phone. Good luck to both teams (no injuries please)!
  4. Friday 1/11 Stone over Alcoa (should be good game) might miss this one CAK over Kingston Loudon over Scott Record 5-1
  5. William Blount beat Bearden in Dec. so that's one sweep that can't happen. Hopefully one of the other Blount County teams can sneak in a victory!
  6. Tuesday 1/8 Alcoa over Loudon Kingston over Scott CAK over Stone Record 2-1 after 1st night of district games.
  7. 1st District Night Predictions CAK over Scott Kingston over Alcoa Loudon over Stone Taking Kingston & Loudon because they are at home, both should be great games.
  8. Farragut 61-46 over Heritage. Game was in doubt only briefly. Bearden is only team in 4AAA that could challenge Farragut, but I think they would lose by 10-15 points. Maybe Catholic(have not seen them yet). Farragut is a good team, but Bradley and Science Hill are better.
  9. CAK 10-0 Alcoa 5-5 Stone 5-5 Loudon 5-5 Kingston 5-5 Scott 0-10 CAK wins every game by double digits. Scott loses every game by double digits. Other 4 teams will battle for 2nd, Alcoa has slight edge because of tougher pre district schedule.
  10. Looks like the the new topic should be "Bad Week for Blount County 4AAA. â– William Blount loses by 39 to Seq (is that score real?) â– Heritage loses 2 games at Christmas tournament to teams that Alcoa beat. â– One of loses was by 14 ...Alcoa beat same team by 21 ! Girls basketball is strange next week could be entirely different !
  11. Heritage looked good early but coach continually "tore down " his girls. Not coaching just berating. Team was not wore down by White Co, but their own coach. It's a shame that such a good group of girls that love to play ball are having the fun of playing high school basketball taken from them. Players should not be in tears after a game. The old joke.." a good coach could take the girls that quit and or transferred at Heritage and win championships" still stands true!
  12. Thanks for updates and recap. One correction, Bearden's Walsh is a junior. Well run tournament.
  13. Hope your right. Would love to see some good games this weekend. Friday game, Bradley vs GPS should be a good one. Saw some of the Hamilton players at camps this summer, they are tall but I think a good pressure defense will overcome the size. Should be fun either way! Good luck to all.
  14. Looks like Bradley wins easily...everyone else battling for 2nd.
  15. Heritage stayed close in 1st half , Science Hill turned up pressure in 2nd and won easily not sure of the margin seems like 20+ (not sure). Heritage is alot better this year, they are not just shooting 3's. They have a better post game this year. Biggest problem will be depth looks like there is big drop off after 6 or 7 players, thats one reason SH was able to easily pull away in second half. Should do well in District, 1st 5 matchup well with District teams. Can finish at the top if bench improves.
  16. Maryville by 2 or more Touchdowns. Quarles and staff will be able to "settle" their team alot better than Alcoa can. Alcoa will be more easily "rattled" by the huge atmosphere.(QB dropped a punt snap last week). Maryville has had more time on new turf. Maryville has more "quality" players than Alcoa; Alcoa may have 90 on roster but most will never see the field, my guess is that they have half the "players" that Maryville has. Hopefully I'm wrong cause I would love to see a great game to showcase East TN talent !
  17. Need help in selecting a shoe for my freshman daughter. She is a guard and average weight. Her past couple of shoes were Nike (not sure of the model). She got lots of blisters on front bottom of feet and both big toes had bad ingrown nails. Thanks in Advance...for advice and suggestions!
  18. Agree....except Heritage & Catholic switch.....maybe?
  19. games yesterday.... Fulton looked good maybe real good closer to Jan McMinn Central looked fine (Massingale) was not playing. Cocke Co & Seymour were OK, not sure how well they'll compete vs good AAA teams?
  20. We had next game at the camp. I sat behind the Elizabethton bench and saw 1/2 of the 3rd Q and all of the 4th. Officiating was like an AAU tournament(no blood no foul). Both teams had a right to complain, but Elizabethton took it too far. They also seemed frustrated that Fulton had come back from 20 points behind. After all the hollering and name calling the team and coaches gathered in the tunnel leading to the exit. They were surrounding the pull alarm. The alarm sounded and they left through the rear door. The fire panel monitor indicated that the station that was pulled was the one they were on. No doubt in my mind( I was 30ft away)and no doubt from all those near, that an Elizabethton player or coach pulled the alarm. Hopefully they have a security camera in the tunnel which will confirm what those from Alcoa, Fulton, and Grainger saw.
  21. Grace's 2011 District Football Results Grace 28 Rockwood 0 Grace 40 Greenback 0 Grace 39 Tellico 0 Grace 69 Midway 0 Grace 49 Harriman 0 Grace 225 District 0........ Even a moron like me knows that this ain't no even playing field. Also noticed that Grace has road games this year at Franklin Road & South Pitt I guess travel time and expense are only issues for District games.
  22. -What are these extra costs??? D1 vs D2 -Quit whining about Webb, they've done the right thing and gone D2... so all students can have a chance to get in their school. -And please explain why we should feel sorry for poor ole Grace....especially after it just installed a state of the art million dollar turf" just like the one the Buffalo Bills have" . -So put your silver spoon back in your mouth...and sit back and enjoy watching your hand picked recruits pound tellico thru the new million dollar turf !
