  1. I'm not sure there is a big difference between the two classes for AHS in terms of winning state titles. Neither class produces ANY threat to AHS annually.
  2. 3rd or 4th in Juggernaut County and #21 in United States ain't too bad... Can't believe all those "different" rankings and polls have Fulton ranked so high, what are they thinking. Probably for Fulton sake it's good that Alcoa fans don't have anything to do with any of the different polls or rankings.
  3. I'd get tired of hearing that, too. Those who I know from Fulton are proud of their team but don't over do it when I've been around them (although not around them a lot). I understand your "heard" comment but I generally only post stuff from those who I consider decent or better sources, I certainly don't post everything I hear. I talk to some clueless (but don't know it) people often I would never repeat them or there opinion on here for good reason, some sound like those you may work with. What MHS has done is incredible and Fulton or any team in Knox Co could ever duplicate it, I think those guys who get all wild probably feel like these two glory years would give them there best chance at a W. Majority of past years before these glory years from what I've seen of FHS they'd have no shot against GQ.
  4. All makes sense now, good to know I wasn't mis-led. Knox County does need middle school football in the schools IMO but they don't have it and those teams can't help it. Seems like they could still play but rules are rules. Some of the Knoxville teams in past years (can't speak for this year) have played other middle school teams in other areas/counties.
  5. I guess I heard wrong, I was told Fulton beat Greenville for championship of this camp or tournament. Didn't realize Maryville won, sorry. I will have to verify my sources in future. Congrats on your 2014 season championship.
  6. I didn't intend it too sound like Blount Co wouldn't play and I was only going off hearsay anyways (that's why I worded it in there) and it wasn't that they wouldn't play b/c of competition reasons I heard for same reasons you said. I didn't mean for it to sound like they were backing down, I only said they should play one another, especially since you said they struggle to fill games. I do know Fulton middle school team and couple others in Knoxville has played some middle school teams in past years. I'm not Fulton anyways I was only sharing what I've heard over the years...
  7. The Fulton middle team is generally one of if not the best in Knox Co. They don't get to play the Blount Co middle schools. Can't speak for the coaches but the ones I know, I'm sure the Knox Co teams would play them. I know that Fulton team has been playing really good teams for years there coach purposely plays good teams. From what I've "heard" it's the Blount Co schools who won't play the Knox Co not the other way around. Alcoa and Maryville though I haven't ever seen play are good each year in middle school. Knox Co plays it's own league and Blount Co has its on league and they are not any cross over games. I have also heard that they do play 7 on 7 against each other over the summers. Fulton, Greenville and Maryville all played in some 7 on 7 camp or tournament this summer at Maryville College.
  8. Unless a bunch of TO's or Penalties happen I say Catholic wins. Webb will hang tough but Irish win 35-14
  9. That is a long time to stay idle, four weeks. Could they have not scheduled a tune up game or two in the mean time.
  10. Why didn't Alcoa play if I read the board right they beat both teams but declined to play in finals ?? I think Central and either Fulton or Farragut (don't know which one it was) were the top teams in Knox Co this year at middle school age. Be a good thing for the kids if the champs from the different leagues could play one another...
  11. I wouldn't put a lot of stock into what comes out of Central camp, I would classify that as sour grapes (jealous of success). From what I've heard for years is they claim it comes out of the youth program, Fulton has most successful youth program in Knox County, most all their teams win. People want to play for winners, Alcoa you know that!
  12. I've seen both play I think Halls keeps it close but Central is just a touch too athletic for Halls. Central will make a few big plays and win a competitively close game. HHS is showing improvement though! Could be a high scoring game...
  13. Haven't seen SD but West would need lots of breaks to beat Catholic, would be a good game but Irish would pull out. The strength of West (run) is strength of Irish (run D), we seen what Irish did to a one dimensional offense last night although West Q can make plenty of plays with his legs.
  14. You will end that skid against your rival this year, no worries. Week 10 will be interesting, I think will be a great game. You guys will be much more battled tested headed into the playoffs. Fulton schedule was really bad, they don't even face one decent team in regular season but they do have a very good team. With that said you two will definitely meet just a matter of 3rd Round or 4th Round pending Irish quad...
  15. AC is solid team but Catholic looks like a good team. AC still has a shot to win District I'm pretty sure OR isn't Catholic. AC keep working you got a shot to make a deep playoff run in 5A. Catholic is TOUGH!! Fix that AWFUL Kick Return strategy, benefits more when you run North and South not East and West...
  16. I haven't seen you guys nor Catholic but figure that to be a tough one (for both sides). As for CAK you guys have no worries this year I have seen them. You will score whatever is needed to come out on top.
  17. West DROPPED Fulton not other way around. I think the guy who mentioned EPIC battle between FHS vs AHS is probably going off these last two years and how good Fulton has been and he's right those would have been great games too see, be fun to have seen FHS entering that game as a favorite too see how they would do, all years AHS won they were clear cut favorite entering game and they proved it on field. Of course you guys have faith you could win and you should prideful program. Does no good to argue "who'd win" in a game that won't take place.... Good luck to AHS you got a tough one Week 10 after that you get to coast to another gold ball.
  18. I didn't see Central game but IF Central offense scored 35 against AC 1's then AC defense will be in for a LONG night against Catholic. AC will need to find some D IF they want to beat the Irish. Should be a good game I would think.
  19. AC wins by 21 if they don't play well, 35-42 will be more like it.
  20. The same team who was only able to muster up a solid two run homer on Maryville last year that same firepower offense would have beat Fulton, I doubt it but we can agree too disagree.. Late in season when Fulton Mr Football was out you MAY could have but during the regular season it wouldn't have even been within 20 points. With that said you guys will with ease bring home another gold ball know one in 3A has a program even CLOSE to you guys. You are the top shelf of 3A all by yourself, you win every playoff game by 20 points at a minimum.
  21. I don't see anyone playing with Fulton right now. That includes 4a and 5a, maybe even 6a. Whew, glad you didn't say 3A because the folks in Blount Co would have went on a rampage.
  22. Would have been an interesting game too see but won't happen so no need in talking about it. Reasons as to why both teams could win the game. Many things can happen in a game, only thing that's for certain (and some will disagree) is that Maryville and Fulton are top two teams in East Tennessee this year.
  23. Pointless to talk about b/c all you get are opinions. In reality with those two teams and how good they are without playing you couldn't predict an accurate finish. There are reasons of how Fulton could win and plenty reasons of how Maryville could win, both are really good teams and are the best two in Prepxtra area. What MHS has done for so long is beyond impressive. Up until these last two years Maryville would have won hands down in a runaway but these last two years Fulton has been much better and could make it interesting... Unfortunately they don't get too play. Would be great to watch!!
  24. Maryville wins this one whether they play well or not. Sevier Co, solid team but Maryville is a really good team.
